Jasper Howard's Best Friend Breaks The Hearts Of UConn Fans Everywhere

This may be one of the most shocking and heart-breaking touchdowns you will ever see, regardless of what team you like or who you support in college football in general.

Trailing 21-17 with under 2 minutes to go in their first home game since the tragic slaying of Jasper Howard, the UConn Huskies executed a beautiful 2-minute drive that resulted in a UConn TD with under a minute left. Given all that had happened, it was the perfect way for UConn to end the game and celebrate and be happy for something after the loss of Howard and a heartbreaking loss to West Virginia. Lost in the mix was the fact that Rutgers called 2 timeouts with UConn inside the 5 to preserve as much clock as they could in case UConn did score a touchdown. As mentioned above, they got into the endzone.

Left with 1 timeout and 33 seconds on the clock, Rutgers, with one of Jasper Howard's best friends, Tim Brown, lining up at wide receiver for them, had 1st and 10 at their own 19 when the unthinkable happened.

So heartbreaking, and yet, at the same time, so fitting. Not only did UConn lose, but Jasper Howard's best friend got the game-winning touchdown. I can only imagine how emotional of a moment that was for Tim Brown. Despite scoring the game-winning touchdown against UConn, somewhere, you have to believe that Jasper Howard is proud of his best friend for going out there and playing and making the big play in the game.

What a moment and what a game.
