Today's games....(with the second game of the day featuring what will without a doubt be one of the most awkward broadcast booths in all of hockey)
Game 2: Anaheim @ Detroit 2:00 (NBC - Mike Emrick and Ed Olczyk, SR: Darren Pang) (TSN - Will air NBC broadcast)
Game 2: Carolina @ Boston 7:30 (Versus - John Forslund and Andy Brickley, SR: Bily Jaffe) (TSN - Gord Miller and Pierre Mcguire)
Enjoy the games and leave comments!
I must say, I am digging Doc's purple jacket.
ReplyDelete"I could have used Panger as my jockey yesterday; my horse is still running." - Edzo, who apparently did not put his money on Mine That Bird...
Actually, Eddie, if you did have Panger as your jockey, your horse would still be running 3 weeks later..
The Pizza Hut Tuscani pastas are getting stupider......and stupider.....and stupider.
ReplyDeleteChris Osgood looks like the Soviet goalie from the Miracle on Ice.
ReplyDeleteWHY COULDN'T THE SHARKS GET BREAKS LIKE THAT.
ReplyDeleteBrad Stuart scores and it's 1-0 Wings!
ReplyDeleteBut it's under review....was it kicked in?
The spirit of Ron Wilson lives in San Jose!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWait.....they text message the announcers so they know the exact ruling??? Well then!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree that this one should count.
NO KIDDING! AND IT FIGURES BRAD STURART (THE PLAYER TRADED FOR JOE THORNTON) WOULD SCORE THAT GOAL.
ReplyDelete/RON WILSON'D
It does stand and it's 1-0 Wings on a wacky bounce.
ReplyDeleteGetzlaf ties it at 1!!!
ReplyDeleteI HATE CHRIS PRONGER!!
ReplyDeletePOWER PLAY GOAL FOR THE DUCKS AND JUST LIKE THAT IT'S 2-1 ANAHEIM!
ReplyDeleteSamuelsson scores for Detroit!! And it's tied at 2!
ReplyDelete2-2 after 1 from the Joe.
ReplyDeleteRyan Carter gets his 2nd career playoff goal and it's 3-2 Anaheim.
ReplyDeleteFranzen has tied the game at 3!!!
ReplyDeleteOvertime in Hockeytown!
ReplyDeleteYOU GOT TO LOVE OVERTIME IN HOCKEY.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. It's so exciting and thrilling.
ReplyDelete"Here is the last of people that have done it." - Doc Emrick
ReplyDeleteCutting quotes short and taking them totally out of context can be so fun at times! ;-)
"The H in Hockey stands for hitting."-Mike Emrick
ReplyDeleteWell played Mr. Emrick
Power play for Detroit!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a very entertaining overtime thus far.
ReplyDeleteThis game could go to another overtime.
ReplyDelete/Jinx'd
More overtime in Detroit.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time this NHL post-season, we have double overtime!
ReplyDeleteSome how fans of the Rolex Equestrian Competition (or whatever it is) are greatly disappointed and depressed right now...
ReplyDeleteThe Rolex Equestrian Championship has been rescheduled for May 16 and will air 1-hour before the Preakness.
ReplyDelete'Tis a pity...
I have to go now.....fml. Oh well, thank goodness being home means I have access to a DVR.
ReplyDeleteAnaheim won in 3 OTs. Todd Marchant (I believe) got the game-winner for Anaheim.
ReplyDelete2-0 Canes after 2. And am I the only one that considers it a miracle that Forslund and Brickley have not dropped the gloves and fought each other in the booth? I'd love to be a fly on the wall in that booth.
ReplyDeletei loved Doc's comment about wanting swedish fish after Olcyzk pizza right before the 3rd OT. also, how ridiculous is it that NBC won't be airing another NHL game for 2 weeks? i live in Baltimore, but do they really need a multi-hour Preakness pre-game or major-like coverage of TPC golf?
ReplyDeleteIt sucks, yes, but Doc Emrick will be doing some games for Versus over the next couple of weeks including tomorrow night's Penguins-Capitals game.
ReplyDeleteAnd that game is also a Versus exclusive so you won't be stuck having to listen to Joe Beninati call the game.
