Tonight's game (as if you did not already know).
Game 7: Pittsburgh @ Washington 7:00 (Versus - Mike Emrick and Daryl Reaugh, SR: Chris Simpson) (CBC - Bob Cole and Greg Millen, SR: Elliotte Friedman) (RDS)
Enjoy the game and leave comments! I just got in so I have to eat real quick but then I will be back to leave comments in the open thread.
This picture pretty much sums up the game, I think....
Wow, they gave Cole the game.
ReplyDeleteI'll stay there to keep track of funny comments then.
Joe Beninati: "is being at home for Game 7 an advntage?"
ReplyDeleteuh, maybe?
and Crosby scores
ReplyDeleteAdams scores 2-0
ReplyDeletea large woman is beginning to warm up
OH AND CROSBY HAS SCORED!!! 1-0 PENS!!!
ReplyDelete2-0!!!! THIS IS UNREAL!!!!
ReplyDelete2 goals in 8 seconds for PIT
ReplyDelete2 goals in 8 seconds for the Penguins. Wow!
ReplyDeleteI just realized I forgot to put down the announcers for Versus, but as they have been doing since Game 3, it's Doc and Reaugh with Chris Simpson (sister of CBC's Craig Simpson) "sideline reporting".
ReplyDeleteThe Caps would do well to get a goal before the end of the period just to have get some confidence back.
ReplyDeleteWOW!! VARLAMOV WITH A GLORIOUS SAVE!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stop by VarLAMov!!!!! If it was not for him, this game would be 3 or 4 to nothing at this point instead of 2-0.
ReplyDeletei'll be happy if they get a couple of shots before the intermission
ReplyDelete2-0 Pens after 1.
ReplyDeletestat on the Caps broadcast: shots last 14:30
ReplyDeletePIT-12
WSH-1
I turned on the Philly-LA game on ESPN to see the score, and Berman was doing the announcing.
ReplyDelete/Shoots himself
3-0!
ReplyDeleteGUERIN SCORES 28-SECONDS INTO THE 2ND PERIOD AND IT'S 3-0 PITTSBURGH!!!
ReplyDeleteWell that was quick, Bill Guerin makes it 3-0 Pens.
ReplyDelete4-0!!! SURELY THIS IS GAME OVER!
ReplyDeleteGood bye, Ovechkin and Capitals.
ReplyDelete4-0 Pens!
ReplyDeleteWow.....heartbreak city for the Capitals and it's bye-bye VarLAMov.
Varlamov has been pulled.
ReplyDeleteBob Cole just came up with "And a goal for Pittsburgh". I'm not even sure he knew they scored until they started celebrating but it may be a case of pure shock. I can't believe this.
yeah...i'm gonna check out and get a head start on the JD :)
ReplyDeleteJust unbelieveable. And I think the pic that I took that is now at the bottom of this open thread sums pu the game perfectly.
ReplyDeleteHey JFein, how did you get that picture so fast?
ReplyDeleteI think it's a picture taken from a camera and then quickly uploaded. I usually take screencaps on the computer with my movie player.
ReplyDeleteEric Staal has made it FIVE!!!
ReplyDeleteHoly Hell. It's now 5-0. This is unreal. Look at the bright side though, kt1000, at least there won't be any controversy this time over a tripping call. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy laptop has a webcam so I just paused my DVR and moved my laptop up to the screen and took the pic.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to use movie maker. It must have took me less than 3 minutes from the time I hit pause on the DVR to the time I got it published. Wait....you're saying it's a bad pic? ;-)
Thanks JFein, and no it's not a bad pic. Good quality :-)
ReplyDeleteActually I have a different movie maker app and it plays Youtube videos, so I just wait until the highlights are up and click on the screenshot feature.
ReplyDeleteOvechkin just scored the easiest goal of his life.
ReplyDeleteOvechkin just got a goal back for the Caps. But with 1:51 remaining in the 2nd and it being a 5-1 game, the Caps still do not have much of a prayer in this game.
ReplyDeleteBob Cole practically said nothing for Washington's goal.
ReplyDeleteI do know how to take screenshots from YouTube videos and such. It's just that this game has gotten boring and I did not feel like waiting. ;-)

ReplyDeleteYou know, that money that you can be saving with Geico, do we ever actually see it? What if it's just a pile of $1 bills?
ReplyDeleteCompletely unrelated to hockey and anything sports, but I'm pretty sure that I just saw one of the most graphic videos I have ever seen in my life...
ReplyDelete/Figures it would be a PETA vid.
CROSBY ON A BREAKAWAY!!! SCORE!!! 6-1!! NOW IT'S OVER!
ReplyDeleteThis was on a 4 minute power play so they still have 1:40 left to go.
ReplyDeleteCrosby scores on a breakaway and it's 6-1 Pens. Just wow.
ReplyDeleteClark with one of the misses of the postseason. Sums up Washington's day.
ReplyDeleteOh look a goal. 6-2.
ReplyDelete6-2 as the Caps get one back.
ReplyDeleteCBC will be airing game 7 of Anaheim/Detroit tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWhat announcers will it be? Hughson and Simpson?
ReplyDeleteAnd it's official. The Pens win an anti-climatic Game 7 by a score of 6-2. Wow. Just wow.
Question: What's the difference between the Sharks and a teabag?
ReplyDeleteAnswer: The teabag stays longer in the cup!
