Tonight's game.....
Game 2: Pittsburgh @ Washington 7:00 (Versus - Mike Emrick and Andy Brickley, SR: Christine Simpson) (CBC - Bob Cole and Greg Millen, SR: Elliotte Friedman) (RDS)
This should be yet another dandy. Enjoy the game and leave comments!
They send Mike Emrick everywhere.
ReplyDeleteIf it were up to me, I'd have Doc Emrick at every game. For the more we see of him, the less we see of the awful Joe Beninati. Believe me, the only thing worse than seeing the Pens beat my Flyers in 5 in last year's conference finals was having Joe Beninati call it.
ReplyDelete"He's an old guy now. He just turned 21." - Doc Emrick on Simeon VarLAMov.
ReplyDeleteBoth players should go to the box.
ReplyDeleteCrosby Scores!
ReplyDelete1-0 Pens
Wow, the Capitals restricted ticket sales to just those who live in the D.C. area??? That's real douche bag move, if I don't say so myself.
ReplyDeleteCapitals way of selling playoff tickets > Pistons way of selling playoff tickets.
ReplyDeleteAnother great save by VarLAMov.
ReplyDeleteThat was certainly an awkward interview...
ReplyDeletethey have to sell tickets to a Pittsburgh series that way...otherwise it would be a 50-50 split in the arena
ReplyDelete1-0 Pens, great job by the Caps killing that 5 on 3.
ReplyDeleteSo??? Let it be a 50-50 split. Caps fans have every opportunity to buy those tickets and every opportunity for revenge to flock to Pittsburgh and take tickets from those fans.
ReplyDeleteBottom line: It's a douche bag move to restrict tickets to a certain area. And it also says more about that franchise, ownership, and trust in their fans than any words can.
you know, i agree with most of what you say. but i also think ownership has the right to make sure the home team has as great an advantage as possible. besides, its not like there are 6000 empty seats tonight, they just want the Caps fans who want to go to have the first chance to get seats.
ReplyDeleteOvechkin ties it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf I hear Alexander Ovechkin called "Alexander the Great" or LeBron James called "King James" one more time, I might break by TV set.
ReplyDelete/History major'd.
fantastic goalie play so far...
ReplyDeleteCrosby scores! 2-1 Pens!
ReplyDeleteDang, this series really is turning into Ovechkin vs. Crosby...
this Brickley dude sounds like he's asleep...
ReplyDeleteSteckel ties it at 2 for the Capitals!
ReplyDeleteCAPS TIE!!!!!!!!! Steckel!!!
ReplyDeleteshould be a great 3rd period...
ReplyDeleteBob Cole is really tragic. He's all over the place tonight.
ReplyDelete@ SSR: Did you get that email I sent you about Bob Cole's call of the great VarLAMov save? Tragic, indeed.
ReplyDeleteAnd SSR, why are you watching CBC tonight anyway when Versus has Doc Emrick calling the game?
ReplyDeleteis it Summerall-esqe or worse?
ReplyDeleteI did get the video and couldn't believe it. The stick is now the 3rd post!
ReplyDeleteHey JFein, the real S2N is kind of back! He set up his blog on Blogspot!
