Brian Boucher Saves The Flyers Season For Now In One Heart Stopping Moment

In a post you never saw that I put up right as the McNabb deal was announced (thus I doubt you guys even knew I broke down the pros and cons of the possible teams the Flyers could face in the playoffs; scroll down and check it out), I put up a video of what still is the best save I have ever seen made by a Flyers goalie. This one may not be as legendary as the last one, but if that one is number one, then the save he made tonight was number 2. Check it our for yourself.

Simply amazing. Thanks to that save, the Flyers held onto win and because the Rangers lost as well, the Flyers are just 2 earned points or Rangers relinquished points away from a playoff spot. Before it was said that even though Boucher had been let down by the Flyers' play both offensively and defensively, he never was able to be spectacular and steal a game. Tonight he stole a game.

WE'VE GOT A GAME 7!!!!!!!

I hope you were able to join us for the live blog, or at the very least, you saw the dramatic endings to the games today, especially the thriller in Pittsburgh tonight. To quote Gary Thorne, "WE'VE GOT A GAME 7!!!!!". Here is a nice highlight package put together by a Pens fan that covers the game's high points including all parts of the massively thrilling finish. And I'd just like to apologize in advance for the only mediocre quality of the video and even more so for the Pens fan who filmed this off his TV who screamed at the Pens goals and did some hilariously panicking at the end...



Props to Fleury for a great all-round performance in what was an obvious must win for Pittsburgh. Just a great game and I am officially pumped for Game 7! VarLAMov Makes The Save Of The Playoffs

Just an incredible save by Simeon VarLAMov. Perhaps one of the best that I have ever seen.



That save was not for naught, as the Capitals would get a 3rd period game-winning goal and take Game 1 by a score of 3-2. An all-round really good game and I think we can expect a whole lot more entertaining games like this one between these two teams.
