Just an incredible save by Simeon VarLAMov. Perhaps one of the best that I have ever seen.
That save was not for naught, as the Capitals would get a 3rd period game-winning goal and take Game 1 by a score of 3-2. An all-round really good game and I think we can expect a whole lot more entertaining games like this one between these two teams.
credit to Bruce Boudreau...it would have been very easy to keep Theodore in net,rather than go with the rookie.
