ReplyDeletei despise Pittsburgh and all of its teams
ReplyDeletef*&k Sidney Crosby
ReplyDeletekilled that power play
ReplyDeleteCAps tie! Steckle!
ReplyDeleteand now the Caps are on the Power Play!
ReplyDeleteand here comes a 5 on 3
ReplyDeleteOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletefirst period ends 2-1 Caps, but the Pens are on the PP
ReplyDelete2-1 Capitals after 1. And to think that Pittsburgh dominated them for most of the period. Should be a good, long series.
ReplyDelete2nd period on
ReplyDeleteyes, i definitely think this will go 6 or 7
ReplyDeletekilled another PP
ReplyDelete2nd post that Ovie's hit
ReplyDeleteLET"S GO CAPS!
ReplyDeletegood save by Fleury
ReplyDeleteFleury really saving the Pens bacon here in the 2nd
ReplyDeleteand the pens just tied it
ReplyDeleteanother Pens goal on a Caps turnover
ReplyDeleteThat was a really beautiful save by VarLAMov!
ReplyDeletei thought the Caps took the play to them until that 2nd Pens goal
ReplyDeleteFANTASTIC SAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHOW IN THE HELL DID VARLAMOV MAKE THAT SAVE?!?!?!? WOW, SAVE OF THE PLAYOFFS NO DOUBT!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd how on earth is Mike Emrick alive after screaming like that??? I'll have that video up ASAP..
and we are still tied 2-2
ReplyDeletei think Emrick is the best PxP of any announcer in any sport...he just has such enthusiasm for the game
ReplyDelete2-2 after 2 from the Verizon Center.
ReplyDeletei left hockey after the lockout and i only started watching again after channel surfing last new years and stumbling on the PIT-BUF winter classic and just marveling at Emrick's just absolute joy of being there, so different than a Joe Buck...and the Caps run at the end of last season helped
ReplyDeleteOT, but i've got a little coin on Papa Clem to win the Kentucky Derby today
ReplyDelete"One last piece of advice for the Capitals, don't wake up Malkin..." - Mike Milbury
ReplyDelete"And now we'll send it to a guy who is always awake, Doc Emrick!" - Pierre McGuire
Okaaaayyy.....
And Doc Emrick is the man. He's the only good national TV American hockey announcer and he's one of the best there is in all sports. Period.
and the 3rd period is about to begin
ReplyDeletei agree..take it from someone that has to listen to the nonsense that comes from Joe Beninati on anightly basis
ReplyDeleteSCORRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE! FLEISCHMANN!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete"Good drawing, Rembrandt." - Pierre McGuire to Edzo talking about his telestration.
ReplyDeletea good hockey telecast needs some edumacation...
ReplyDeletegood penalty kill there
ReplyDeleteLETS GO CAPS!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteand i was going to write up a sim of the series, but i got depressed becuase the Caps led at the 2nd int in each game, and then got outscored 12-1 combined in the 3rd in a sweep
ReplyDelete" and Steckel gets a 2nd chance, like Ohio State usually does in college football's national championship" Doc Emrick
ReplyDeletegreat pass by Ovie
ReplyDeletewould have liked to see an interference call there
ReplyDeleteof course......lets make sure the Pens get as many PP's as possible :(
ReplyDeletekilled another PP
ReplyDeletePIT 0/5
ReplyDeleteThanks for remembering the Doc Emrick quote! +1 to him indeed.
ReplyDelete/Penn State fan'd.
sorry for taking over your thread
ReplyDeleteYou are fine. If the TV in my room was working, I'd be posting more as well, but instead, when I want to type something, I have to get up and leave, hence the thanks for remembering Doc's jab at tOSU.
ReplyDeleteEntertaining game today. Washington nearly clinched it moments ago on the empty net chance.
ReplyDeleteand the Caps win Game 1 3-2!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletethis will be a close, very even series and indeed the Varlamov save of Crosby may swing it
ReplyDeleteCaps win Game 1 by a score of 3-2.
ReplyDeleteOT....can we do something about the hats at the Kentucky Derby?
ReplyDeleteOT...can we ban red carpets full of D-listers at sporting events?
ReplyDeleteDamn, I go to the movies and miss Caps-Pens. They needed to show that game during prime time.
ReplyDeleteTiki Barber looks like he is ready to shoot himself at the Kentucky Derby.
