@ kt: I swear, some crazy shit goes on at this university during homecoming weekend.
Last year, there was an incident that ended up with police over-macing people at the homecoming dance, and this year apparently a girl that lives next door to me (I hardly know her) is either missing or seriously injured. They are looking for her, but I thought I heard one girl say she was injured or something, I don't know.
@JFein 11:42 sophomore year homecoming, a kid fell out of the 6th floor window at UMD(we had high rises for the 1st 2 years). He was drunk and was sitting on a ledge and just tumbled out. So, yes, I hope this girl is all right(and is not the girl I insulted earlier...)
@ kt: Nope. That girl was across the hall diagonally from me. This one lives next door (yet, I hardly know her and can't even come up with her face in my mind).
Joe Buck keeps talking about how exciting this game is, but he sounds like he's reading it off a script Bud Selig handed him and is making him read at gunpoint.
@ kt: I hardly know her. And by hardly know her, I can't put a face to it and I just saw the non-friended version of her Facebook page and the face hardly rung a bell.
Apparently she sent out a mass text message and posted on Facebook suggesting suicide or something.....and now there is a large commotion in the hallway and I have no idea what's going on.
@JFein, I had to actually move away from my school. It was in a bad part of the neighborhood. Thankfully at the time I lived with two other people, but our house was broken into twice and had my TV stolen.
I moved out of that place and away from the school after my Sophmore year.
I have not been watching much of this game (and when I did start watching, the whole commotion started and I was distracted by that), but how much has Joe Buck complained about the weather like he did in Game 5 Part 1 of the 2008 World Series?
@JFein hardly at all, except for talking about how much he doesn't want such a great game to be decided by the weather. I think it's because the Yankees are involved. They make everything all right.
This is going to seem completely random and out of nowhere, but you know how I had the "Gustavo Johnson" post earlier, well watching this baseball game reminded me that the Spanish announcers for the 08 World Series (they are on my A&E DVD along with Phils radio, Rays radio, and the Fox broadcast) and they were completely monotonous (I wanted to see what some of the big plays sounded like in Spanish). Literally, their voices never changed on any big play.
Tim McCarver must be the dumbest fucking individual alive. I thought everyone knew that a pitched ball, once released, does not travel at a constant speed, but instead slows down the further the ball is from the release point. But ol' Tim McCarver is shocked to find the ball is a different speed when it hits the target. I mean didn't he take any fucking physics classes back in the day?
"Fisted." - Joe Buck
ReplyDeleteThis game is in the 10th inning.

ReplyDelete@ kt: I almost forgot. Some student was walking around town at 2:49 AM and got stabbed.
