And You Thought Ali Farokhmanesh Had The Shot Of The Tourney
Sadly, I don't think that honor is his anymore. What he did took a lot of balls, but I don't think there can be anything more dramatic than what Kore Lucious did to Maryland earlier today. It appeared that Greivis Vasquez had given Maryland the win and the win by hitting a basket with 6.6 left to make it a 1-point game, but thanks to some shotty Twerps defense, Michigan State was able to get the ball to a wide open Kore Lucious and who had an open look from beyond the arc. The rest is history that can be seen in this video.
Wow. What a shot by Lucious and what a win for Sparty.
But Michigan State still has problems. Kalin Lucas injured his Achilles and his unlikely to play on Friday against Ali Farokhmanesh and Northern Iowa. But if there is one thing I can tell you about Tom Izzo and Michigan State it is this: they are never an easy out. Even when half of their starters are out they are still tough to beat and UNI will face quite the challenge in the Sweet 16. I can't wait for March Madness to resume again as this weekend was just an incredible week of hoops.

The Comcast Center Was Home To Quite The Epic Night Last Night
It is very rare that one of the dunks of the year is not the highlight of the night at a college basketball game, but that was indeed the case last night at the Comcast Center in College Park during the Wake Forest-Maryland game. First here's the dunk by Jeff Teague.
Okay, so how is that not the highlight of the night? It's simple at halftime, after a year and a half, THE PRANK WARS ARE BACK, BABY! That's right, after a year and a half of waiting, we finally get to see Prank Wars 7.
The synopsis of the series of this. Streeter and Amir are 2 friends who (for real) play very cruel and very nasty pranks on each other. Before this one, the last one (Prank War 6) involved Amir having Streeter propose to his then girlfriend. Of course, Streeter did not really mean to propose, Amir had just rigged the jumbotron at Yankee Stadium during a Yankees game to say something along the lines of "Will you marry me?" from Streeter to his girlfriend. Others have involved convincing an audience to not laugh at Streeter's jokes at a comedy club, and Streeter creating a fake audition that completely humiliated Amir. This latest one, however, may take the cake. I take you now to halftime of the Wake Forest-MD game. If you have not seen it yet, Streeter will explain it all.
So, so funny. If you want to see more, go to YouTube, google, or even CollegeHumor and type in "Prank War Streeter Amir" or something like that. There are 7 in total, with the one you just saw being the 7th one. Trust me, the hilarity is worth it.

Maryland Upsets UNC!
If there are two teams that I can't stand in college basketball, it's Duke and North Carolina. Both are teams and both teams fans' are spoiled, sanctimonious, and obnoxious. Which is why I take great pleasure whenever one of them lose (except when they play each other, I laugh that one lost, but I can't take satisfaction in one of them winning). Since UNC trounced Duke in their first meeting of the season, all anyone has been talking about is how UNC will be a #1 seed and will win the rest of the games on their schedule. I'm pretty sure that one point or another, every person at ESPN jerked off at this thought. Well, not so fast, guys. UNC may still be a really good team, but they had quite the humbling experience, losing in overtime to Maryland, a team that is still questionable to make March Madness, even with a win today. Courtesy of a video that I found on YouTube, here are the final seconds of the game and the classic rushing of the court in College Park.
Congrats to Maryland, however, I must warn you, you are now Mike Patrick's least favorite division I team.
Aspeaking of Mike Patrick, was I the only one who thought that he was worse than normal, calling the Marquette-Georgetown game earlier today? For an already bad announcer who lives and breaths ACC basketball, calling a Big East game was just a recipe for an announcing catastrophe that we ended up getting at the Verizon Center today.
