25 Years Ago Today

One of Philadelphia's greatest sports tragedies occurred. On November 11, 1985, Pelle Lindbergh, a promising young Flyers goaltender who was on the verge of becoming one of the best in the league, was pulled off life support after being in a car crash the day before. What follows below is footage from Channel 6 Action News, after the crash but before the final plug was pulled. May this serve as a warning to everyone what can happen if you drink and drive. No matter who you are, what you do, or how invincible you think you might be, this could happen to you.

RIP Pelle Lindbergh, 1959-1985
