2011-12 FBS Bowl Schedule

As much as I do not like college football's ridiculous BCS system, or how some teams like Western Kentucky were not invited to a bowl game despite being eligible and as much as this whole thing is corruption and picking teams that best fill hotel rooms and the dollar pockets of rich executives, I still watch these bowl games with enjoyment anyway.  I have no will power to create meaningful change as I won't be negatively impacting their ratings.  So anyway, here is your schedule (complete with announcers already) for the Bowl games.  Enjoy! Forget 2007, This Was The Best Fiesta Bowl Ever

Congrats to the Boise State Broncos for winning the 2010 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl in a very thrilling fashion. A fake punt in that situation took guts (especially that call of a the punter throwing a pass). If it fails and TCU goes on to win, Chris Peterson is no doubt the biggest idiot in Idaho, but because it succeeded, Chris Peterson is once again considered a genius as he should be, because even with Boise's Fiesta Bowl reputation, TCU never saw that play coming.

That fake punt led to the game-winning touchdown later on that drive.

But enough of the game and on to what made this the best Fiesta Bowl ever. Though I'm not sure if that is something you should tell this Boise State cowgirl soon to be internet star.

And is it just me, or is a guy named Johnson majoring in cummunication the best person ever?

Best. Typo. Ever.

Once again, Boise State has won the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. Can you believe it?

Pam Ward Is Not A Fan Of Injured Football Players

You can chalk this one up in the category of audio glitches causing America to hear something that was not supposed to be heard. In this case, Pam Ward tossed it to the studio and while she thought that Dari Nowkhah and Trevor Matich were giving the people an update, an audio glitch prevented us from hearing Dari and Trevor. Instead, Pam's microphone was never cut off and you can hear her mumble some rather distasteful things to the injured Marshall player on the ground (and even check to make sure that Dari and Trevor are the ones in the studio!)

It's disrespectful, yes, but a part of me can't help but laugh at it. Sure it's rude, mean, and obnoxious what she said, but given who it is and her reputation, you can't help but laugh. I am curious though how on earth Ray Bentley handles this. I mean, what on earth is he and everyone within ear shot of Pam thinking then, not even knowing that it is being heard by all of America?

Stay classy, Pammy!

Your College Football Bowl And BCS Game Announcers

We finally have all of the information needed to put together a full and complete list of the bowl games and their announcers. With the exception of the sideline reporters for the BCS games (and who gives a shit about sideline reporters), we know where everyone will be and what games they will be doing. If you're a Penn State fan, you'll be happy to know that former PSU star Todd Blackledge will be on the mic analyzing in Orlando for the Capital One Bowl which will feature Penn State (WE ARE!!!) taking on LSU (WHAT ARE THEY THINKING? MY GOSH!). But I'm getting ahead of myself, we will start this year with the epic New Mexico Bowl! Okay, so Fresno State and Wyoming isn't exactly epic, but you get my point. While there are some throwaway games, there are certainly some interesting ones up there as well. And once again, it figures that Pammy gets the worst and most useless bowl game that there is. She just can't catch a break, now can she?

Do take note though of that AutoZone LIberty Bowl as that will be the last football game ever called by the great Ron Franklin. Too bad ECU had to ruin it by beating Houston in the C-USA title game, as Houston vs. Arkansas would have been awesome. But ECU may not be such a bad game either. We'll see.

To a great career, Ron Franklin, and to learning your lesson about making slightly suggestive and rude comments to Holly Rowe.
