The Omaha Nighthawks Of The UFL Will Be Fielding A One Man Team This Season

I can see it now. Ahman Green. The UFL's foremost quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end, offensive guard, offensive tackle, defensive end, defensive tackle, linebacker, cornerback, safety, punter, AND kicker! Can you say Omaha Nighthawk championship?

And You Thought The Winter Classic At Fenway Was The Only Time Baseball Would Meet Hockey This Year

To all those that thought the Philadelphia Flyers were playing the Bruins in the Conference Semifinals of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, all I can says is what on earth were you thinking? Clearly you did not get the memo. Meet the Bruins real opponent per everybody's favorite prop betting site, bodog.com.

Roy Halladay will be manning the pipes, while Chase Utley and Jayson Werth lead a dangerous and powerful offensive attack with Ryan Howard the power forward getting in front of the net and snapping goals in from the point left and right. Cole Hamels and Joe Blanton are flatout beasts in the defensive zone.

The Bruins ain't got nothing on these Phillies. They've already won a World Series and now they are bound and determined to win the Stanley Cup!

Wait....what? This is just a bodog typo????? You mean Howard, Utley, Rollins, and Hamels are not seeking to add a Stanley Cup in addition to their World Series rings? Oh damn.

The Caymen Islands Got Hit By An Earthquake And Married All In The Same Week!

Whoa, Jimmy, I knew you were something special, but I did not realize that aside from an astounding short stop who is much better defensively than Derek Jeter, you are also a whole group of islands! Incredible!

In all seriousness, though, I probably should not be joking as that was a 5.8 magnitude that struck the Caymen Islands and my thoughts and condolences go out to anyone who lost a friend or a family member in the quake. Luckily for the Phillies, while a whole group of them was down there during the quake, no one was injured.

NBC Has High Expectations For The U.S. Men's Hockey Team

Believe it or not, we are just a month away from the return of the Winter games and NBC has their hype machine in full force. In fact, NBC is so excited about covering this year's Winter games that they are making some rather bold predictions about the U.S. Men's hockey team.

Bottom line: "Ryan Miller and U.S. men's Hockey team head into the semifinal round (live ET/CT) with a medal in sight."

Now that's confidence in a team! Mark it down, folks, the United States men's hockey team is going to the semifinals and will at least compete for a medal. And when it does happen, don't you forget that you heard it from their promoter NBC!

Aspeaking of NBC and medals, I really can't tell you how excited I am to hear that the olympics are introducing a 4th place medal in this year's Winter Olympics in Vancouver. What, you haven't heard about it? They are going to call it The NBC....

Forget 2007, This Was The Best Fiesta Bowl Ever

Congrats to the Boise State Broncos for winning the 2010 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl in a very thrilling fashion. A fake punt in that situation took guts (especially that call of a the punter throwing a pass). If it fails and TCU goes on to win, Chris Peterson is no doubt the biggest idiot in Idaho, but because it succeeded, Chris Peterson is once again considered a genius as he should be, because even with Boise's Fiesta Bowl reputation, TCU never saw that play coming.

That fake punt led to the game-winning touchdown later on that drive.

But enough of the game and on to what made this the best Fiesta Bowl ever. Though I'm not sure if that is something you should tell this Boise State cowgirl soon to be internet star.

And is it just me, or is a guy named Johnson majoring in cummunication the best person ever?

Best. Typo. Ever.

Once again, Boise State has won the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. Can you believe it?

MLB Typos Rule!

Great find last night by Awful Announcing on mlb.com. We've seen this before and we'll see it again in the future no doubt, but whenever a major website has a pre-made graphic to go up immediately following the game and then something like last night's bottom of the 9th happens, hilarity ensues. Take for instance, this graphic that was posted on MLB.com right after the Phillies won.

Too funny!

It's amazing, even when the Dodgers win NLCS games they still lose! Oh, wait....

The Highlight Of The Night....

....is not a video. That game was a massacre and while my congratulations go out to the Lakers and The Pride And Joy Of Lower Merion High School, Kobe Bryant (even though the ensuing ESPN circle jerk will last for the next year), no video or highlight is worthy enough to be put on here. I put this up on the live blog, but for those who missed it or just want to see it again, let's play Find The ESPN Typo!

It must be Jeff Van Gundy's fault. He does not want you to believe that it was his brother's Magic that was losing by 12...
