If listening to me talk soccer with The Brotherly Game's founder and current managing editor is not enough to get you excited, listen for the first five minutes, where I break the news of Joe Paterno's firing to Kyle, Scott, and our listeners by reading the tweet of a Philadelphia Flyers beat writer for a southern New Jersey newspaper.

Justin Defends His Trivia Title For The First Time
I had linked to this on Twitter when it first got posted, but because it was during March Madness, I did not have the time to put this as a blog post until now. So here you go. It is my first time defending my newly won Broad Street Hockey trivia title, and it is against another BSH reader/commenter. Like last time it is at the beginning of the show, however, the host is not Travis, but rather, Ben, who I lost to when I attempted trivia last year. As a bit of context (you will understand why I am giving this to you once you hear the show), Ben, the host and guy who wrote the questions, is a Flyers fan living in Washington D.C.

Justin Attempts Flyers Trivia Again
Remember last year when I tried to beat then-reigning Broad Street Hockey Radio trivia champion Ben Rothenberg? Well just an hour and a half after the Saint John's and Rutgers controversy, I got my trivia on again, only this time it was against the guy who ultimately defeated Ben, took the crown from him, and held on to it for several months and two shows, BSH reader and commenter mikefive.
Will the results be epic? Or another epic fail for this humble blogger? The shocking and controversial episode is just one click away.

Justin F. Vs. Ben R.: The Epic Flyers Trivia Showdown
It is the moment you have all been waiting for. The epic Flyers trivia showdown starring me as I take on Ben Rothenberg of SB Nation's Broad Street Hockey in an epic trivia showdown on this week's episode of Broad Street Hockey Radio. Did I mention this is epic?
Because this is the 3rd time there was a trivia contest, the rules are not explained so I will go over them right here.
Myself and reigning trivia champion and BSH writer Ben Rothenberg alternate answering questions asked by the Managing Editor of Broad Street Hockey (and also SB Nation's NHL Manager), Travis Hughes. And to finish the identifications, the third guy frequently giggling in the background is Geoff Detweiler, another BSH writer. Back to the rules. Each question is worth 100 points and each of us are asked 3 questions. If someone gets a question wrong, the other person has a chance to steal, so theoretically, someone could end up with 600 points. At the end, there is a final Jeopardy-esque question where we each wager a certain number of points and whomever has the highest number of points after that is the winner.
The boys at BSH are having some posting problems so I am unable to download it and convert it into my own podcast, but here is the link to listen to the show. The trivia contest is right at the beginning so you don't have to fast forward at all. If and when a downloadable audio is put up, I will do my best to get it up here, but regardless.

Mike Boone Discusses Comparing Flyers To Nazis; Fields Question From Yours Truly
I posted a story the other day about Montreal Gazette writer Mike Boone who compared the Flyers to Nazis. Well, the Flyers blog for SB Nation, Broad Street Hockey, got in contact with Mike Boone and conducted an interview for their podcast, Broad Street Hockey Radio.
They discussed Boone's comments in an interview as Boone tries to give some context to his quotes and tries to elaborate what he meant by his comment when he wrote, "
There's not a franchise in sports I hate more than the Philadlphia Flyers. [....] No, you'd have to have an Olympic Games flashback to 1936 and watch the pride of Hitler's Germany marching into the Berlin stadium to match the feeling of revulsion I experience every time I see the Flyers play."
If the story interested you at all, then it is definitely worth a listen as he does not back down from the questions and he defends the comments. Now whether or not you think his defenses are legitimate or complete B.S., well, that will be your call.
Now we do this blogging as a way to express our opinions on matters in sports, but let's be realistic, a lot of our intended audiences never read what we write. Actually, I'd be shocked and stunned if an Eagle ever read some of my Andy Reid criticisms or if NBC actually read all of our comments regarding NBC and their terrible coverage of the Olympics.
But when it came to Mike Boone and his Nazi-hating ways, BSH Radio gave us the opportunity to leave him a pre-recorded message for him respond to over the air on the podcast. Well, I called and left my message and what do you know, it got played over the air on the most anticipated BSH Radio Podcast yet. I'm sure we've all dreamed about letting some of the people that we write about personally know how we feel, well, I was given that chance with Mike Boone and a small part of this podcast is the result of it.
The interview is right at the beginning and is approximately 19 minutes long (they discuss more topics aside from Boone and Nazis after the interview so that is why the thing at the end says 41 minutes) so sit back, relax, and enjoy! If you don't have time to sit back and relax but still want to listen to me, I come in at the 13:45 mark, however, if you do have time, I would recommend giving the whole interview a listen.

Wildcard Preview Podcast
I have taken the liberties of setting up a podcast that went much longer than I thought it would previewing this weekend's wildcard games as well as a look ahead to who I think has the best chance of making the Super Bowl. There are some sound difficulties and odd sounds in parts so please just bare with them and don't get too frightened. My family was sleeping as I did this so even though I am alone with in my room with my door closed, sound waves carry in this house so I ended up whispering a bit and thus at times it is difficult to discern what I am saying.
Enjoy it anyway! And given the surprisingly strong built-in microphone in my computer and the fact that after all these years I have finally gotten a 21st century cell phone, maybe next time I can call some of you and get your thoughts via phone. It would work. After all, I'm pretty sure every twitch I had in the past 20 minutes got picked up.
So sit back, relax, bare through the random sounds, especially at the beginning when it sounds like I'm drowning in a toilet, and enjoy JFein's exclusive wildcard preview podcast!
