Jibber Your Jabber- Sunday Night Style!

Who's up for some exhibition preseason NFL action tonight? Or maybe it's ESPN's 100th broadcast this season of Yanks/Sawx. Who does Al Michaels have tonight? Will Joe Morgan take credit for the building of New Yankee Stadium? Is Don Draper going to regret banging the new secretary? Leave comments and enjoy the mayhem!

Dallas Cowboys vs Cincinnati Bengals 8:00 (NBC- Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth SR: Andrea Kremer)

Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees 8:00 (ESPN- Jon Miller, Joe Morgan, Orel Hershiser)

  1. I don't care if this is a meaningless preseason game between two teams I dislike. But dammit, it's football and I've missed football in my life.

  2. I'll watch a little, but I have a feeling I'm going to tire of TO and Chad 85 pretty quickly tonight.

  3. @Kris: I'll probably only watch the 1st quarter then change channels.

  4. NBC must really be struggling to take EA's money for a Madden promo

  5. Michaels about Collinsworth: "He's passed his conditioning test. His larynx is ready to go."

  6. Leon Hall being abused like he's playing Appalachian State all over again.

    /Sorry RJBO

  7. That Appy State loss is now part of the salad days for Michigan.

/not much to look forward to sports wise
    //or otherwise

  8. I still can't believe the Lions fleeced the Cowboys for a 1st, 3rd & 6th for Roy Williams.

/first (and only) time for everything

  9. When does Hard Knocks premiere? This week?

  10. The Bungles are already shooting themselves in the foot

  11. Seeing TO and Rice together reminds me of those late 90's Niners teams. TO never pulled any crap on those teams because he knew he couldn't get away with it with Rice around. Also he looked up to Rice like a father figure. Once Jerry left, then you saw TO throwing QB's under the bus and pulling sharpie's out of his socks.

  12. Not the split-screen commercials again!

    /2008 NBA Playoffs'd

    ...Agreed on TO, Keith.

  13. 2nd teamers in now for Dallas, as expected.

  14. I'm always excited for the first preseason game of the year, then I don't care. Just get on with the season.

  15. I had no idea Jon Kitna was still in the league.

And now, Bengals D players are dropping like flies

  16. I wonder how badly the Red Sox-Yankees game gets thrashed in the ratings?

  18. Alex Barron with the Three Stooges move on Odom.

  19. Palmer (who for some reason is still in) has basically thrown every ball to TO tonight.

  20. Maybe it's just me, but I think if Russ Grimm got hired as a head coach he'd be the new Rod Marinelli.

  21. You gotta get LOW, kt!

Bill Hall doing his best Kitna impersonation to 1st allows the Yankees to get on the board.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @KT: I agree. Line coaches never make good head coaches. Marinelli was a disaster, Mike Tice sucked, and Art Shell had his moments but his teams eventually sucked.

They're just not creative enough and they don't carry the same respect as other coaches.

  23. @Keith Don't forget Joe Bugel on that list

    ReplyDelete
  24. Derek Jeter now has more hits than Babe Ruth.

    /why am I watching this?

    ReplyDelete
  25. @Kris: Haha.........Only Al Davis would make a offensive line coach the head coach. Art Shell, Joe Bugel, and now Tom Cable.

    ReplyDelete
  26. @Keith wasn't Madden a defensive line coach before Al picked him to be head caoch?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Michaels: "Some WAGs said that Williams should've carried Bryant's pads off the field, but Roy would've drop them. But some WAGs said that."

    Hollywood Wags?

    ReplyDelete
  28. They're going to the inspirational route for the Madden commercials this year?

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Kris: No. Madden was actually a secondary coach.

That was the Just Turnovers O'Sullivan I remember.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Jon: "As soon as you mention Dodgers, Joe just shuts down."
Joe: "No, when you mention dummies I shut down."

Better than opening your mouth to remove all doubt.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @Keith we were both wrong. Madden was linebackers coach for the Raiders.

    /Wikipedia never lies'd

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Kris: I knew it had to do with something on defense besides the line.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I guess it's preseason for the TV crews, too.

Wade Phillips lost 40 pounds on NutraSystem?

    Michaels: "He hardly looks emaciated."

    ReplyDelete
  34. ...and ESPN just showed Spike Lee on camera with some Sally Jesse Raphael glasses on.

    ReplyDelete
  35. 6-0 Boys at the Half. Save me, Joe Morgan!

    ReplyDelete
  36. The only two Super Bowls the Niners played in that were competitive were against the Bengals.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Loved how Emmitt pandered to the Gators tonight after not mentioning them during last night's speech.

    ReplyDelete
  38. @RJBO: That made me laugh. After a bunch of complaining by Gator fans, Emmitt pandered to them.

    ReplyDelete
  39. It's the 4th quarter of a snooze of an exhibition game, and it's STILL too early to talk about F@#%e.
