Game 1: Anaheim @ San Jose 10:30 PM (Versus - will JIP FSN-BA broadcast) (CBC - Mark Lee and Marc Crawford) (RDS)
I will be out for the first part of the evening tonight due to an end of year banquet for my major. I have never been to this annual event before so I can't tell you how long I'll be, but I am ball parking my return between 8 and 8:30 ET. Then again, I was fairly certain I'd be home before faceoff of the Flyers-Pens game last night, but I sort of missed that as evidenced by the fact that when I turned the TV on, the Pens were celebrating their 1st goal. Leave comments, but most of all, enjoy the games!
I am not sure yet, if I will do a Sharks-Ducks Live Blog yet.
ReplyDeleteMaybe my eye sight is getting worse, but I can't see the time of the game on the Versus broadcast.
ReplyDeleteI'm back!
ReplyDeleteI'd be there and join in if you did.
"Only 1:03 left in the....take advantage of the span." - Grandpa Bob Cole
ReplyDeleteI'm currently watching Bruins and Canadians on NESN.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I am stuck with the ultra-annoying Jack Edwards.
Montreal has tied it at 2.
ReplyDeleteKOVALEV SCORES A BULLET JUST SECONDS AFTER THEIR POWER PLAY ENDED!!! WHAT A SHOT!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Bob Cole didn't realize it was in the net until 2 seconds later.
2-2 game now.
"Top cheese!" - Greg Millen
ReplyDeleteI turn my back for 10 minutes and there has been 4 goals scored in this Blue Jackets-Red Wings game.
ReplyDelete@JFein, do you have a class tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI am just wondering because the Sharks-Ducks game doesn't start till real late your time.
"Osgood has been marvelous in the first and steady as she goes in the 2nd." - Joe Beninati
ReplyDeleteAnd can I kill this stream website? My 2 options are NESN and VS!
Yes, I have a class at 9:00 AM tomorrow. I'll be fine. The game should be over at around 1, which gives me 7 hours of sleep which is enough for me. Unless it's a blowout or I get a bad stream, I'll probably watch the whole thing. But this site, aside from a few pauses, as been pretty solid.
ReplyDelete3-1 Detroit after 2.
HOLY FUCK A BLACK HOCKEY PLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAll right JFein, I will send you the normal CIL e-mail.
ReplyDeletePJ Stock, for once in your Hockey Night in Canada career, MAKE SENSE AND SPEAK PROPERLY!!
ReplyDeleteCBC uses CiL!!
ReplyDeleteHow does CBC use CiL? They blog the game as well?...
ReplyDeleteCALGARY SCORES!!!!!!! 1-0!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently watching the Flames and the Blackhawks on a TSN stream.
ReplyDeleteAh, the downside of watching streams....I have no idea when games return from intermission. Back to the NESN stream to see the end of Habs-Bruins.
ReplyDeleteI've got an Ashley Madison ad at the bottom of my stream!
ReplyDeleteWho are you guys doing after the games? ;-)
4-1 Detroit
ReplyDeleteYeah they use it to live blog games.
ReplyDeleteI am on the CBC live blog right now.
ReplyDeleteYou are? What name.
ReplyDeleteIs anyone of particular note doing the live blogs (i.e. a well-known CBC personality or is it just some schmuck they found off the streets).
ReplyDelete"Now Kubasew....er Lucic went in there." - Bob Cole
ReplyDelete"He is making things happen in front." - Jack Edwards
ReplyDelete"SHOT!! SCORES!!!! I DON'T THINK SO!! THE REFEREE AGREES WITH ME THAT IT HIT THE POST!!" - Cole
ReplyDeleteWell Boston scores seconds later on a Chara shot. 3-2 Boston.
ReplyDeleteOh, the iron was downright rude!
ReplyDelete"Price saw his goaltending life to flash before his eyes." - Jack Edwards on an incredible save by Price where he rescued puck squeezed through him but he grabbed it before it went in.
CHARA SCORES!!! 3-2 BOSTON AND JACK EDWARDS JUST HAD AN ANNURISM!
Oh man, I really wish I had the CBC broadcast for this game. Bob Cole sounds like he's Dick Stockton on steriods.
ReplyDeleteAnnurism? That's not even close to being right. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhere can I watch a live stream of the Bruins-Habs game?
ReplyDeleteIron unkind to Kessel!
ReplyDelete/Brando'd again.
Coles messes up another name when Boston hit the crossbar. His identification of players is awful.
ReplyDeleteNever mind. I am an idiot.
ReplyDeleteThis is by far Bob Cole's best work.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfSqoBaUhkY
I am under Sharks Fan over at the CBC live blog.
ReplyDeleteGo to www.channelsurfing.net and scroll down much. And just click on the link that says, "NHL - Montreal vs NY Boston 7:00PM EST 4/16".
ReplyDeleteThis is the NESN feed. I'm not sure what, if anything, is being streamed over at justin.tv.
And I knew what I meant but that was not it...;-)
"The Canadiens have to keep coming." - Bob Cole
ReplyDeleteAfter watching that video, SSR, I've never been happier to be listening to Jack Edwards in my life!
ReplyDelete"The U vs. Ohio St."- Joe Beninati
ReplyDeleteUm Joe, Michigan goes by Big Blue and not the U.
OH, WHAT A CHANCE BY MONTREAL OFF OF THE THOMAS TURNOVER!
ReplyDeleteHe is basically Dick Stockton. Cole has been a staple of HNIC but there's a reason why Hughson (FINALLY) got promoted to lead commentator over Cole.
ReplyDeleteIt's a final in Detroit. 4-1 Red Wings
ReplyDeleteBoston scores on the empty netter on the one-timer!!! GAME OVER!!
ReplyDeleteCole seriously has no idea who scored. It was Kessel.
He said this:
"Lucic coming in!!! THEY SCORE!!"
Fight!
A hospital bed currently awaits Jack Edwards and his sadly exploded head....
ReplyDeleteBoston 4-2.
The Nats will finally get a win. They're beating the Phils 8-2 in the top of the ninth.
ReplyDeleteWait, you mean to say that this moron was actually the lead announcer for CBC?
ReplyDeleteMORE FIGHTS IN BEANTOWN!
AND THE NATIONALS HAVE WON THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh wait, it was just their first regular season game. Never mind.
Not a moron at all. But like Pat Summerall he's faded miserably.
ReplyDeleteBob Cole and Harry Neale were Hockey Night in Canada.
Now we've moved on and it's Jim Hughson and Craig Simpson.
I'm liking Chris Cuthbert on TSN thus far.
ReplyDeleteI've been informed from another Phillies fan that Raul Ibanez sucked again.
ReplyDeleteWHAT A SAVE BY KIPRUSOFF! SPECTACULAR!
ReplyDeleteLove Cuthbert. I hear him on CFL games a lot.
ReplyDeleteBut he turned into Brando when the Stampeders won the Grey Cup.
"This one is over! John Hufnagel and the Stamps! ARE CHAMPS!"
"I'm not sure if everything is currently connected for Patrick Kane." - Pierre McGuire
ReplyDeleteAnd what's with the ESPN like bottomline on TSN?
Pierre McGuire was great the other day on the Jim Rome show.
ReplyDeleteTSN is basically ESPN Canada JFein. The 4 letter bought a share of the network.
ReplyDeleteBut they have their own Sportscenter as opposed to ours, but they don't seem to be as over the top as some anchors on ESPN.
That certainly explains a lot.
ReplyDeleteSCORE! CHICAGO! And it' 1-1!
ReplyDeleteGoal by Barker. 1-1 in the Black Hawks, Flames game.
ReplyDelete"It just beats Miikka Kipruside, Kiprusoff on the short side." - Pierre McGuire getting ahead of himself.
ReplyDeleteJeff Marek is a very good host for HNIC. Hopefully when Ron MacLean retires Marek takes Ron's place.
ReplyDeleteBTW JFein, all of the NFL games on the NFL Network are shown on TSN while NFL-N in Canada is blacked out.
ReplyDeleteAdd to that the American affiliates they get they probably get about as many as 8 games in total in 1 week of football.
I may have to think about moving to Canada....
ReplyDeleteAt home I have DirecTV and Sunday Ticket , but since I started college, I no longer have that nor do I spend many weekends at home so I'm stuck with cable.
Although I do have 2 CBS channels and they often do not air the same games...
"A late hit! Right by the Flames bench....er net." - Cuthbert
ReplyDelete"A late hit right by the Flames bench, er, net." - Chris Cuthbert
ReplyDeleteHe was right the 2nd time.
Think with your dipstick Jimmy!
ReplyDeleteI hate that commercial.
Oof! It's SportsCentre! Haha, I love Canadiens!
ReplyDeleteI actually have been to Canada on a couple occasions, although the latest was at least 3 years ago so my memory of any Canadien TV channels is quite blurry.
Do you hate it because you don't want to think with your dipstick? ;-) Jimmy.
ReplyDeleteYou guys interested in doing a Coveritlive for the draft? I'm reading the Redskins want Mark Sanchez and are willing to trade their #13 pick and next year's 1st rounder to Seattle for the #4 pick.
ReplyDeleteHAHA!!! DAN SNYDER IS STUPID!
Apparently no one got the NHL's message that they are cracking down on "message sending" at the end of the game. First the Flyers and the Pens and now Habs-Bruins.
ReplyDeleteAnd Carcillo of the Flyers got suspended a game for his cheap shot with 7 seconds left and the Flyers were fined $10,000.
I was thinking about doing a live blog for the NFL draft. But I have to see what my schedule is up too.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I started up the live blog for the Ducks-Sharks game.
That'll be one heck of a live blog...
ReplyDeleteSCORE!!! FLAMES! AND IT'S NOW 2-1 CALGARY!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I will be spending the rest of the night over at 49er16's live blog over at www.keithssportsjournal.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteSee you tomorrow for more open thread fun!
