Red Bull commercial = oddest commercial ever.
ReplyDeleteCaps are starting Varlamov, a rookie whom they called up from the minors. This could get interesting.
ReplyDeleteCallahan scores and the Rangers lead 1-0!
ReplyDelete"I pulled my groin 7 times watching that." - Darren Pang on the Fleury save on Jeff Carter's shot. This was during pre-game.
ReplyDeleteHA! I actually heard that during the pregame but I did not have the thread up at the time and by the time I did get it up, I forgot about it.
ReplyDeleteAnd Zherdev just won himself a Golden Globe!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete"Ovechkin has to come tighter." - Eddie Olzcyk
ReplyDeleteStill 1-0 New York with 4 minutes to go in the game.
ReplyDelete"His stick betrays him." - Doc Emrick
ReplyDeleteRangers take Game 2, 1-0 and they now lead the series 2-0 over the Capitals as they head to Madison Square Garden for games 3 and 4. Wow...I did not see this one coming.
ReplyDelete"Brace yourself, 2 goalies are about to talk at center ice. Darren Pang and Henrik Lundqvist." - Doc Emrick
ReplyDeleteI've got an FSN Detroit stream for the Blue Jackets-Red Wings.
ReplyDelete"We've seen him over and over again with 2 guys on his back." - Ken Daniels
ReplyDelete"First time that I can ever remember that we had a 6 o'clock starting time." - Mickey Redmond
ReplyDeleteYeah.....any explanation for this otherwise before starting time from the Joe?
RAFALSKI SCORES! 1-0 RED WINGS!
ReplyDeletePAVEL DATSYUK SCORES! 2-0 Red Wings in the 2nd.
ReplyDeleteWow, a Columbus Blue Jacket was carrying a hockey stick in each hand for well over 5 seconds and the Red Wings announcers were livid over it.
ReplyDelete"Last night the Red Wings led 1-0 and the Blue Jackets came back and tied it at 1." - Mickey Redmond forgetting that Game 1 was 2 nights ago, not last night.
ReplyDelete"We'll clear up a stick story when we come back." - Ken Daniels
ReplyDeleteEww.
ZETTERBERG TOP SHELFS IT AND IT'S 3-0 WINGS!
ReplyDelete8:00 and Habs-Bruins can't come soon enough. Actually scratch that, my options of PbP announcers to watch are Jack Edward on NESN, Joe Beninati on Versus, and Bob Cole on CBC. I know a good deal of French, so maybe I'll find an RDS stream....
*Jack Edwards
ReplyDeleteIt's Beninati for me! And an only iffy quality stream.
ReplyDeleteSCORE FOR BOSTON!!!
ReplyDeleteSAVARD SCORES A POWER PLAY GOAL! 1-0 BOSTON!
ReplyDelete"Game 2 of the California Clash." - Joe Beninati on the Sharks-Ducks series.
ReplyDeleteNice alliteration.....
"Wrap around for Kostitsin and he gave Montador a rough run." - Joe Beninati
ReplyDelete"The Black and Blue Jackets." - Joe Beninati
ReplyDeleteUgh.
BOSTON SCORES!!! CHUCK KOBASEW BANGED IT HOME AND IT'S 2-0 BRUINS!
At least 1 team in Boston isn't disappointing.
ReplyDelete"Highway robbery here." - Greg Millen on the great save by Price
ReplyDeleteFIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
ReplyDelete"Looked like a little roller derby move there by Tim Thomas." - Joe Beninati
ReplyDeleteWHAT?!?!?
"Price will melt that one in the crease." - Joe Beninati being overdescriptive.
ReplyDeleteOne of the TSN studio analysts just said that Darren Pang was in New York.
ReplyDeletePanger is (or as of earlier this afternoon) in Washington....
And it's a final in Detroit. 4-0 Red Wings.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 streams going right now, one of Habs-Bruins and another of Flames and Blackhawks and while I am listening to the national anthems in Chicago, I flip back to the Habs-Bruins game to find out that the Habs have pulled within 1!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure Cole knew there was a goal scored.
ReplyDeleteHe sounded so surprised just now and had no goal call.
It was not really that much of a chaotic play. Just a solid drive that went in.
ReplyDeleteOld King Cole might need to have his vision checked...
4-1 Boston. Good thing that I'm watching the Flames-Blackhawks game.
ReplyDeleteJEROME IGINLA SCORES ON THE POWER PLAY! 1-0 CALGARY!
ReplyDeleteThat was about as juicy a rebound as you can ever find in the NHL.
"They're going after him because he has loose lips right now." - Pierre McGuire
ReplyDelete"We may have to call security in front of the net again." - Chris Cuthbert on a scrum that broke out in front of the net.
ReplyDeleteGame over.
ReplyDelete5-1 Boston at the end of 2. Blowout.
OH! AUCOIN GETS A REBOUND AND SENDS IT RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE NET BUT A BLACKHAWK STICK KNOCKED IT IN FOR THE FLAMES! 2-0 CALGARY!
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, the Bruins have advanced there lead to 5-1 over the Montreal. And Jack Edwards may end up back in the hospital for pulling a Brennaman...
SCORE! CHICAGO! TOEWS!! And the Blackhawks have pulled within 1.
ReplyDelete"Everybody wants to say 'hello' to Pierre McGuire." - Chris Cuthbert as a scrum broke out in front of the benches right where Pierre is.
ReplyDeletePATRICK KANE TIES IT AT 2!!! BEAUTIFUL GOAL!!!!
ReplyDeleteOof. I was on the phone and I missed a Chicago goal at the end of the 2nd. 3-2 Blackhawks after they trailed 2-0 to start the game.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, it's a final in Boston. 5-1 the Bruins beat the Canadiens and Jack Edwards is being rushed to the hospital. It is pretty close to being 4 hours...
ReplyDelete"The good news if you're Calgary is you're starting to get rubber on Khabibulin. The bad news is is you're running out of race track." - Pierre McGuire
ReplyDeleteThis has been a really good game. Very entertaining and very fun to watch.
Chicago hangs on and wins a very entertaining 3-2 hockey game from the United Center.
