Montreal leads 1-0. I missed who scored.
ReplyDeleteEither Montreal has yet to score on a power play this series, or Bob Cole just called a 1-0 game a stalemate.
ReplyDeleteI've got a Jack Edwards stream up for this game. I'm watching the Sixers, but at commercials, I'm checking out what's going on in the hockey games.
ReplyDeleteAnd I heard Bob Cole on Monday yesterday and I agree with your assessment in your blog about him and Millen. They were Versus bad.
ReplyDeleteBoston's tied it at 1. Again, I missed who it was.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Rangers have scored first in thier game against the Capitals.
Krejci makes it 2-1 Boston!
ReplyDeleteWow, it's now 4-1 Boston. Damn, I turn my back on that game for 5 minutes and Boston lights it up.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, Rangers are up 2-0.
"We were not looking for that kind of explanation, but thanks anyway." - Gord Miller to Chicken Parm. Miller had reminded Chicken Parm that 16 years ago today Chicken Parm, (then better known as Ray Ferraro) got a huge game-winning goal in overtime for the Islanders. Chicken Parm then went on-and-on about that game, how he got the goal, and how that was the best series in his career.
ReplyDeleteToo funny. Meanwhile, the Henrik Lundqvist is going all Marc-Andre Fleury on the Capitals.
This just in: Sean Avery is a douche bag.
ReplyDeleteA dumb, dumb, dumb penalty - a blatant high stick on Avery and the Caps have the power play down 2-1 with 3:04 to go.
Boston sweeps the series as the fans throw stuff on the ice.
ReplyDeleteTools.
Boston wins 4-1 and they sweep the series.
ReplyDeleteMEANWHILE LUNDQVIST JUST MADE A HECK OF A SAVE!!! 50.1 TO GO AND THE RANGERS ARE BARELY HANGING ON!!!
HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHOW DID WASHINGTON NOT SCORE THERE?!?!?!? UNBELIEVEABLE!!!! RANGERS SOMEHOW HANG ON TO WIN 2-1!!!
If the Rangers win the series, Lundquist should be in line for a huge raise (if he hasn't gotten on yet) cause he has saved them from a barrage.
ReplyDeleteIf the penguins-Flyers series ends tomorrow and the Caps-rangers series ends Friday, it could be the worst weekend for NBC Sports. What would they do without hockey?
ReplyDeleteHabs fans...learn how to respect the national anthems...look in Calgary for a good example tonight
ReplyDeleteIf NBC takes Flames/Hawks...Pierre will probably won't be available to them as he'll be working it for TSN with Cuthbert
ReplyDeletePierre McGuire INSIDE THE GLASS.
ReplyDeleteCuthbert probably asked to be by himself to avoid being with this idiot.
At least it isn't Cole/Millen at the game
ReplyDeleteThe trash talk already started & it will get worst as the game goes on
ReplyDeleteRead this in Puck The Media, JC, and I think it might answer your question.
ReplyDeleteNBC does have back up plans.

PATRICK KANE SHOOTS AND IT'S IN!!!! CHICAGO STRIKES FIRST BLOOD IN CALGARY!
ReplyDeleteI did most of the game so I'm not totally sure, but I'm pretty sure Chicken Parm was Inside The Glass as well during the Caps-Rangers game.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit nervous now Kane scored 1-0 Hawks
ReplyDeleteKANE SCORES!!! 1-0 BLACKHAWKS!!
ReplyDeleteIGINLA ON THE POWER PLAY!!!! AND JUST LIKE THAT WE ARE TIED AGAIN!!!!
ReplyDeleteIginla, the best Captain in the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HIGH BLOCKER SNIP SHOT 1-1
ReplyDeleteInteresting article on the Marty Brodeur incident from last night.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=419640
This one is starting to get ugly.
ReplyDeleteThe pregame was the warm up, the 1st 15 mins of the 1st was feeling each other out (take this one out of context) & now it will get rough for the rest of the game
ReplyDelete1-1 after 20. Pretty even game so far.
ReplyDeleteGame thus far. 1-1 after 1 but I have a feeling that this game is a powderkeg that will just erupt at some point tonight.
ReplyDeleteJack Edwards made the Patrick Roy comparison to Carey Price. By looking at both, it looked real similar. Habs fans are worst than Philly fans. Heck Habs fans booed the US national anthem. Stay classy.
ReplyDeleteWell that was quick for the Flames.
ReplyDeleteJOKINEN'S 1ST PLAYOFF GOAL OFF A BOUNCING PUCK FROM CAM BARKER 2-1 FLAMES
ReplyDeleteOLIE JOKINEN SOCRES!!!! AND ONCE AGAIN, THE TEAM THAT STARTED OUT ON TOP IS NOW TRAILING!!! 2-1 FLAMES!!!
ReplyDeleteHey, why the unnecessary attack on us, perfectly harmless, good-natured Philly fans? ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe big guns of the Flames have showed up tonight!!!!!! & Moss BANGS Hjalmarsson behind the net!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was directing that shot towards the typical classless Habs fans who are as bad as Philly fans but worst for booing the US national anthem.
ReplyDeletePhilly fans have been more tamer lately...unless the Eagles are brought up
ReplyDeleteI was mainly being sarcastic. I know how bad some Philly fans can be and believe me, having been to numerous Philly sporting events, I've experienced the love, first hand.
ReplyDeleteI've been to a plethora of Flyers games and I don't once remember us booing the Canadien National Anthem. The only occasion that I can recall where there was a situation was, if I recall correctly, Habs fans booed the Star Spangled Banner last year in the Flyer series with them and Flyers fans retaliated but I was not at those games and I'm going strictly on memory, so I could be wrong.
AUCOIN MAKES IT 3-1 FLAMES!
ReplyDeleteAUCOIN'S SHOT FINDS THE NET 3-1 FOR THE GOOD GUYS IN RED
ReplyDelete3-1 CALGARY!!!! AUCOIN!!
ReplyDeleteJOKINEN HAS 2...BLACKHAWKS ARE IN TROUBLE...4-1 FLAMES...WILL THERE BE A HUET SIGHTING
ReplyDeleteJOKINEN SCORES HIS SECOND!!! IT'S 4-1 CALGARY!
ReplyDeleteOLLI JOKINEN NOTCHES ANOTHER FOR THE FLAMES!!!! 4-1!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Flames on home ice were one of the best home teams in the NHL this year. But the question is can they win a road game.
ReplyDeleteKipper has been playing much better this year compared from last.
I'm pretty sure that both teams are now utterly terrified of scoring the first goal in this series. I now expect every player on both teams to down some valium before the start of game 5...
ReplyDeleteHawks still got somewhat of a chance. Versteeg on the PP 4-2 Flames.
ReplyDeleteVERSTEEG PULLS ONE BACK FOR CHICAGO ON THE POWER PLAY!! WHAT A 2ND PERIOD THIS HAS BEEN!
ReplyDeleteNote to self: Never use restroom during hockey game again.
ReplyDeleteIt never fails!!!!! I leave to take care of business...and someone scores! Always, always, always happens.
Cam Barker now...Oh great...I'm a bit nervous now 4-3
ReplyDelete1-GOAL GAME!!!!! CAM BARKER DEFLECTED IT HOME FOR THE BLACKHAWKS!
ReplyDeleteThis is looking shades of last night's Devils-Hurricanes game...and we all know how that ended.
Oh no...what I feared...a young team who doesn't know better...they could of mailed it in after 4-1...Bucklund now it's 4-4
ReplyDeleteHOLY CRAP! CHICAGO HAS COME ALL THE WAY BACK IN THIS GAME.
ReplyDeleteUm, Pierre, I'm pretty sure there were many 3-goal comebacks before the lockout as well.
ReplyDeletePAULSSON WITH A DRIVE....SOCRES!!!!!!!!!! AND CHICAGO HAS COME FROM 3 DOWN IN THIS INCREDIBLE 2ND PERIOD TO TIE IT AT 4!!! UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!
Some friendly exchange at the neutral zone. 4-4 after 40
ReplyDeleteI'll be back in a bit.
ReplyDeleteHow do the refs not call the Blackhawks for too many men?
ReplyDeleteI'm back and it's still 4-4.
ReplyDelete"That's Patirck Sharp eating a piece of Khabib....er, Kiprusoff's stick." - Chris Cuthbert confusing his goalies.
ReplyDeleteBoth defenses clamping down after a goal parade in the last 20
ReplyDeleteHopefully this game does not go into overtime. I have to be up at 7 AM tomorrow and yet, I don't want to turn away from this game!
ReplyDeleteIf this game goes into OT...I might be too tired to work out in the morning...at this rate...could see a few
ReplyDeleteNYSTROM RIGHT ON OT CUE, BACK OF THE NET 5-4 FLAMES & THIS SERIES MIGHT BE A BEST OF 3
ReplyDelete"Here's Eager dicking in." - Chris Cuthbert
ReplyDeleteWas Cuthbert the one who gave us the now infamous, "great dick, er, glove save" call?
SCORE!!!! NYSTROM!!!!!!!!! CALGARY!!!!! 5-4!!!!!
I am surprised Todd Bertuzzi hasn't tried to break anyone's neck yet.
ReplyDeleteNot another injury. Langkow needs to be out there. That bench is really thin. Just to add to the fact that Regehr will not play this series.
ReplyDeleteTowes has been a no show tonight. Really quiet night from him.
ReplyDeleteEmpty net..
ReplyDelete2-2 back to Chicago...See you Saturday Night for both teams
ReplyDeleteEMPTY NET GOAL FOR IGINLA!!! THIS SERIES IS TIED AT 2!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete
