U.S. Draws England With Help From Vesa Toskala Robert Green

It was a goal Clint Dempsey was on the other end of that gift from Green and because of it, the U.S. escapes Rustenburg with a 1-1 draw. It is a respectable result for the United States and one that they needed as well. They did not need to beat the British, but getting a result was certainly something the United States was shooting for and something they thought was feasible for them. It may not have been exactly how they drew it up, but they tied England 1-1 and turned Robert Green into a worldwide laughing stock in the process.
