2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs Conference Quarterfinal Schedule (UPDATED WITH CANADIAN ANNOUNCERS)

As of right now, all we got is teams, days, and the TV network(s) they are going to be on. No information regarding the announcers has been released as of yet. Seeing as Canadian announcers stick with the same series, I will insert them here once they are announced but Seeing as TSN only uses their own announcers for 2 of the 4 playoff series that they cover (PHI-NJ and MTL-WAS) and use an American feed for the other 2 (NSH-CHI and DET-PHX), I will only supply the TSN announcers for the 2 they are using their own broadcast for as the ones they are using American feeds for will likely change throughout. When I post the open threads, I should have which feed is being used for which game and who the announcers are. I will also be doing the same for the Versus games where they are airing another network's feed for the game. Due to the varying nature of the American announcers in the Stanley Cup playoffs, I will just post them on a night by night basis as chances are, I won't even know them myself until that night. Also, this is just a national TV schedule. All games featuring American teams will be on a local sports channel (Versus exclusive games don't start until conference semis), whether it be CSN, FSN, MSG, NESN, etc. With that being said, here is the schedule for the first round of the playoffs! (all times eastern)

Yep, that's right, the Philadelphia Flyers and New Jersey Devils will be the only 2 teams gone unseen on Versus. While it is certainly good to see Versus expand their coverage as much as they are and are trying to show us as many games as possible, it seems a bit odd that they are leaving off an entire series for now. But I guess that is what happens when you play on the same days as Sidney Crosby. Now once series start ending, then there will be adjusting of the schedule and games that were not initially on Versus will be appearing on Versus and what not, so just because it does not appear on the surface that the Flyers won't be on Versus, that could all change by the end of things.

  1. T^V Schedule changes for Wednesday:

  2. I'm mildly surprised by NBC and CBC's scheduling decisions. NBC goes w/ Sabres and Bruins for their Eastern Conference game instead of the Pens/Sens or Caps/Habs.

I'm more shocked CBC didn't pick the Habs/Caps series (TSN did). Game 2 is Saturday night, perfect for HNIC. Montreal has more fans in Canada than Ottawa by far.

I'll watch the CSN D.C. feed here anyway but the networks must think the Caps will win in 4 or 5 games.

  3. @ Al: I think that is exactly what CBC was thinking with that one. They have a complete hard-on for Vancouver and they must have really liked Olympic national hero Sidney Crosby against a Canadian team. As popular as they are, the Habs backed into the playoffs, are up against the President's Trophy winner, and CBC likes the other teams/matchups better.

  4. I thought everyone knew NBC would avoid showing a Canadian team for as long as possible. Them picking Buffalo and Boston really shows how little pull New Jersey has as a TV attraction.

  5. Sixers-Magic is an 8 PM tip BTW; still on CNP.

  7. @ JC: Honestly, I don't give 2 shits about the Sixers. Hardly ever have before, probably never will again.

  8. @kt I thought if there was a marquee U.S. team v. any Canada team matchup, NBC might take it like in the past (DET/EDM in '06PIT/OTT in '07). I was wrong. I guess they want no more NBC/CBC scheduling controversies.
