Game 4: Phoenix @ Detroit 6:30 (TSN - Gord Miller, Itg: Pierre McGuire)
Game 4: Pittsburgh @ Ottawa 7:00 (Versus - John Forslund and Darren Eliot, SR: Charissa Thompson) (CBC - Bob Cole and Garry Galley, ItG: Glenn Healy, SR: Elliotte Friedman)
Game 4: New Jersey @ Philadelphia 7:30 (TSN2)
Game 3: Chicago @ Nashville 9:00 (Versus) (TSN - Chris Cuthbert, ItG: Ray Ferraro)
Game 4: San Jose @ Colorado 10:00 (Versus) (CBC - Mark Lee and Kevin Weekes)
Eagles home opener is week 1 against the Packers.
ReplyDeleteI love how the whole schedule is getting out before it is "officially released."
ReplyDeleteYou guys can talk about the schedule release show here as well. I generally choose to ignore it as the discussions about who has the "hardest schedule" are basically pointless because the draft has not occurred yet, but I will see what the primetime games are.
The report is McNabb comes back to Philly Week 4.
Blogger's commenter system has been stinking it up for the past few days.....
ReplyDelete1st Monday Night Game: Ravens at NY Jets
ReplyDeletei hope everyone loves 9-6 thrillers ;-)
Rest of sked announced in a few minutes...OFFICIALLY!
ReplyDelete@ kt: Reports have Miami @ NYJ as well.
ReplyDeleteThere's a chance we can all be spared! ;-)
Detroit just had a goal waved off.....for the time being.
ReplyDelete@JFein it's the Ravens...
ReplyDeleteand they have a brutal start...4 of 1st 6 on the road
THAT NEVER WENT IN!!!
ReplyDeleteRefs got it right.
Are Red Wing fans high?
ReplyDeleteThat is not a goal!!!!!
Good grief these are obnoxious morons.
Crazy sequence in Detroit. Filpulla had one dancing on the goal line & everyone in Detroit thought it was goal but it's not in. Play continued now being reviewed.
ReplyDeletethanks a lot Eagles..more Deadskins on National TV is never a good thing
ReplyDeleteDeadskins apparently have 3 primetime home games, DAL (SNF-WK1), IND (SNF-WK6), and NYG (MNF-WK10).
ReplyDelete@JC I don't like to brag but I told you the NFL would be dumb enough to schedule WAS for primetime.
With Shanahan as coach, McNabb now as the QB, and the marquee opponents, Deadskins were getting shown nationwide even if they're not a good team.
@Al the Indy-Deadskins beatdown will not be fun to watch. what is the NFL thinking?
ReplyDeleteEric Bruntlett is now the answer to a Jeopardy question!
ReplyDeleteand so is the Tigers collapse
/RJBO'd
Now to hockey, PIT-OTT. The only good thing if the Pens win tonight and Thursday, Versus can show other series.
ReplyDeletePierre during the break.
ReplyDelete"Could you please show the bumping & grinding"
"You want to give it to me handsome"
Skins @ Philly Week 4.
ReplyDelete@kt about the NFL
ReplyDeleteWHAT ARE THEY DOING??? WHAT ARE THEY DOING???? MY, GOSH!!!! /Verne Lundquist'd
That isn't with any sarcasm intended, 100 percent truth.
The new HC/GM regime is making the mistakes, prior pairs did. Too many free agent signings, there are Terrell Owens rumors.
@flmesfn12 TMI Pierre.
ReplyDeleteYou are serious NFL. Starting the Bolts game in KC at 10:15 EST!!! The game will end past midnight for those in KC!!!

I love how everyone at the506.com and others like me assumed the 2nd MNF Week 1 game would be in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zone.
ReplyDeleteThe NFL only cares about ratings.
"We always have to delay these commercial breaks." -John Forslund as Penguins and Senators get together after the whistle before commercial.
@flmesfn12 that makes no difference to me, it'll end after 1 am in the east either way...
ReplyDeleteand MLB will be desperately hoping for the Yankees or else the World Series gets swamped by Steelers v Saints
The Niners vs. Eagles will be a Sunday Night Game?
ReplyDeleteThe Niners did absolutely nothing to deserve 4 Primetime appearances. No team in the NFC West deserves that many.
ReplyDelete@JFein I listed the wrong Skins opponent for the MNF game. PHI not NYG, makes sense.
ReplyDeleteRefs are calling nothing in Ottawa. Mike Fisher was interfered with going to the net, no call.
ReplyDeleteJealous, SSR?
ReplyDeleteOf course, Ottawa is called for a hook. /Refs are biased
ReplyDelete@Al I would be mad if I'm a Sens fan. If Sens lose this due to PP goals, them they might have some argument.
ReplyDeleteFUCK! Malkin, 1-0 Bad guys.
ReplyDeleteHere we go. 1-0 Pens. Sens fans should be pissed.
ReplyDelete@flmesfn12 They're madder now...
ReplyDeleteSeahawks are going to suck this year so I'd rather be stuck on FOX and CBS....
ReplyDelete4-on-4, equally deserved.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe someone gave the Eagles 6 primetime games, especially when it is unknown how good they will actually be.
ReplyDeleteThis is a much different team than last year.....and we have not had the draft yet.
Sutton could've been called for a penalty on Crosby, Pens whistled for slashing.
ReplyDeleteFan-to-ref intimidation works.
It was Crosby, wow. I thought he should have DRAWN a penalty on Sutton.
ReplyDeletePierre in the 1st with useless info "Ryan Miller bought the NHL package just to watch Drew Miller play... "
ReplyDeleteNice power play Ottawa, you remind me of my Caps.
ReplyDelete@flmesfn12 It was nice not hearing Pierre on the NBC games this weekend, I feel for your ears.
ReplyDelete@AL After a while, I get used to it. Since he covers the World Juniors every year.
ReplyDeleteKOVY POSTS ONE!
ReplyDelete@Al 7:47 hey now, the Caps are dominating 5 on 5 play. the Sens are not.
ReplyDeleteIncompetency reigns supreme among the refs once again. Flyers discipline could still be better.
ReplyDeleteBOOOOOOOOOOSH!
Cot damnet Kovalchuk.
ReplyDelete1-0 Devils
Hey, Goodell and his crew muist been on pot today with the sked.
ReplyDeleteBut at least the Raiders won't be on primetime this year!
@kt I specifically said "the power play", Caps are much better at even-strength.
ReplyDeleteThey're (WSH) 0 for 21 on the man advantage.
Zetterberg off iron & in.
ReplyDelete1-0 Wings but this might be a high stick. Going to be a tough call for refs.
Goal Wings, not enough video evidence to deem Zeterberg's stick above the crossbar.
ReplyDeleteCrosby, how did he do that?! He was stumbling and still scored.
ReplyDeleteSpezza is awful.
Cooke now, 3-0 Penguins.
Pierre after the Datsuyk "boarding" call "That's legislating hitting out of the game"
ReplyDeleteThis series is over, Penguins will close it out by game 5. Ottawa is showing nothing.
ReplyDeleteOH RICHIE YOU WAITED TOO LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCrosby, top corner. 4-0 Pens.
ReplyDeleteHe's good, that was a perfect shot no matter what Darren Eliot says.
Brian Elliott had no chance.
Chris Neil scores a goal and then takes a penalty on the same play, go figure.
ReplyDelete4-1, we can't have the Senators come back.../NHL is biased
Don't feel bad Sens, Nationals trail 10-0 for the 2nd time in 3 days.
ReplyDeleteALFREDSSON!!!!!! 4-2!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePIT penalty, Jordan Stall, hooking.
ReplyDeleteThe Church of Alfie can rejoice.
ReplyDeleteBig news for Otes. Shane Doan should be back for Game 5
ReplyDeleteCrap, shorthanded goal makes it 5-2.
ReplyDeleteMatching goals in Ottawa 5-3
ReplyDeleteCullen from Spezza, 5-3. So, who wants this game?
ReplyDeleteOtes need to hit the net with a shot sooner or later. Not generating much O.
ReplyDeleteMartin Brodeur just made the save of the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteVersus just replayed Brodeur's spectactular save on Gagne.
ReplyDeleteKunitz, 6-3 PIT. Sens are not going to win playing run-and-gun against the ice animals.
ReplyDeleteToo many Senators in the Ottawa Congress, Penguin power play.
ReplyDeleteJEFF CARTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FLYERS TIED IT AT 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOtes are really urgent now in Detroit.
ReplyDeleteUnrelated to hockey, but Roy, Jr. is finally pitching a solid game for the Phils this year.
ReplyDeleteYes, Versus live look-in and a DET goal. Datsyuk, 2-0.
ReplyDeleteDatsuyk off iron & in. Wings lead 2-0 & Bryz had no shot at that save.
ReplyDeleteZetterberg & Datsuyk have took over this game.
ReplyDelete2 pages of scoresheets for the 2nd period goals in the PIT-OTT game.
ReplyDelete8 combined goals, 5 for Pittsburgh and 3 for Ottawa.
Wings fans are singing Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer. Pierre had to mention he was from Jersey.
ReplyDeleteWings take this game 3-0 & tie the series up 2-2
ReplyDeleteBTW - Jimmy Howard gets the shutout, 1st career playoff shutout.
ReplyDeletePierre's Monster - Darren Helm
6-4 Pittsburgh, Spezza cuts it to 2.
ReplyDelete5-on-3 goal, they stay on the PP, 5-on-4.
Dupuis goes down, I've seen better flops by NBA players. /Bitter Penguins hater'd
ReplyDeleteThey get a power play.
Darren Eliot calling him out. P.O.S. refs.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention it here, but I love Danny Briere.
ReplyDelete2-1 Flyers.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteStall, 7-4 PIT.
ReplyDeleteCARBOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete3-1 FLYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Devils and Senators are getting closer to the end of their seasons than the next round.
ReplyDeleteIt's only game four but they don't look good.
4-1!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'M ON CLOUD 9!!!!!!!
@JFein If the Caps and Flyers win their series, it's a rematch of '08.
ReplyDelete7-4 Penguins win, 3-1 series lead.
ReplyDeleteNats have the Colorado lead to 10-4, small consolation.
ReplyDeleteTSN is using the CSN Philly feed.
ReplyDeleteCanadians are now learning about TastyKakes.
@ Al: I am well aware of that.
ReplyDeleteAs of now, the Caps do not scare me as much as they probably should.
Versus needs to add the time remaining when they show a full-screen scoreboard. The Flyers game only says "third period".
ReplyDelete"Pens lead 4-1." - Ron Maclean
ReplyDeleteEasy there Ron....
@JFein Flyers play them tight but I'll take a series with them over the Penguins in my emontions.
ReplyDelete2008 game 7 loss was much easier than 2009 game 7 loss because of who we lost to.
@SSR Ron is right, Pens will lead 4-1 after Thursday's game. /Sarcasm
ReplyDeleteLegwand from Sullivan, 2-1 Preds.
ReplyDeleteI like the CSN-C announcers among local crews but it makes you (Versus) look cheap when you use their feed and a neutral TSN broadcast is available.
Dan Boyle says "Fuck You JFein!"
ReplyDelete@JFein: The country as a whole learned about Tastykakes thanks to The Price is Right!
ReplyDelete@ Keith: You see my remarks about that on Twitter?
ReplyDeleteIt's seriously good to see him get the redemption he deserves, but the hockey loving public are not going to forget. The YouTube hits (now at over 500,000) will keep on rising.
3-1 Preds after 2.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Phillies choked away a fucking 3-0, eight inning effort by Kyle Kendrick with no fucking thanks to Ryan Madson and Jose Contras and gave up THEE MOTHERFUCKING HOME RUNS and choked to the Braves 4-3 as Billy Wagner got the fucking win.
ReplyDelete/Lee Elia'd.
@JC You forgot cocks*ckers and that 85 percent of the world is working...and the other 15 percent are out here! /Lee Elia'd
ReplyDeleteCeltics hammered the Heat 106-77, 2-0 series lead.
ReplyDeleteVan Pelt and Legler on Sportscenter think Dwyane Wade is done as a member of the Miami Heat.
ReplyDeletePreds doing the defensive job tonight like the Hawks did to them on Sunday.
ReplyDeletePenalty shot for Erat!
ReplyDeleteErat scores! 4-1 Preds!
ReplyDeleteGood grief, Nashville and Chicago. Could you have one interesting game? For me? Please?
ReplyDelete@ JC: Good grief relax. One game in April does not a baseball season make.
ReplyDeleteAnd I pin that one all on Madson, not Contreras. Madson put Contreras in a no-win situation there.
The Flyers are looking awesome in the playoffs and the Phillies have only played 12 of 162 baseball games. Priorities, James, priorities. The only thing in the Philly sports world that has me worried now is that both Gagne and Carter might miss Game 5 because of injury, but other than that now, I don't give a damn about one blown save in April, and neither should you. I'm still on Cloud 9 from the Flyers.
@JFein Game 1 was 4-1 w/ 2 empty-net goals. It was really 2-1 until the last minute.
ReplyDeleteI laugh about the Nats right now, I'll get ticked off after the SCF is over.
ReplyDelete"For Eddie Olczyk, this is Pat Foley. I hope you enjoyed the broadcast in spite of the outcome." - CSN-Chigago announcer Pat Foley signing off.
ReplyDelete@ Al: Maybe it's just me, but wasn't that just an uninteresting game, even if the score was close?
ReplyDeleteIt was at least close and a team (NSH) came back in the 3rd period in game 1.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm reaching for straws here.
Sharks and Avs tied at 1, 14:15 left..
ReplyDeleteThe more I think about it, this isn't easy for Hahn and Remenda. It has to be challenging balancing your loyal local viewers, who have a rooting interest, against the needs of a non-partisan broadcast. These guys do a nice job.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like the next goal will win the game.
ReplyDelete"The Sharks are a fast team, they are just not a hungry team." - Kevin Weekes
ReplyDelete@kt1000 Blame Versus for not taking the Canadian broadcast.
ReplyDeleteHahn/Remenda and Foley/Olcyzk can concentrate more on their team and fans if it's just broadcast to their market.
Comcast is too cheap to produce their original broadcasts and won't pay for TSN or CBC if one of their regional nets is broadcasting it.
"The Sharks needed this type of aggression and hunger right in the beginning." - Kevin Weekes after the Sharks showed some emotion in that scrum.
ReplyDelete"Two of these games have headed to overtime and it looks like we are going in the same direction." - Mark Lee
ReplyDeleteSomeone is winning this in regulation.
When Mark Lee is not baffled about own goals, he is a fairly good announcer.
ReplyDeleteThe refs are not calling anything, they just missed COL having too many players on the ice among other blatant tackles along the boards.
ReplyDeleteVery different than the NJ-PHI series.
Avalanche had 3 or 4 chances but couldn't get it home!
ReplyDeleteOvertime in game 4. Third straight OT game in the series.
ReplyDelete2-13
ReplyDeleteFML
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@kt1000 At least your announcers are entertaining. I loved the cold weather, coffee discussion between Thorne and Palmer.
ReplyDelete34-28 SOG in favor of San Jose.
Avs are playing much better than games 2 and 3 combined when they were out-shot by a 3 to 1 margin.
Thornton, Marleau, and Heatley need to do something for SJ, this OT would be a good place to start.
@Al i must have missed that watching the 30 for 30 doc. but Palmer was ripping the O's for lack of hustle tonight. He was super pissed at ( 9 million dollar man (what was Theo thinking) Julio Lugo who basically walked to 1st after a grounder.
ReplyDeleteHere we go, these OTs haven't taken long.
ReplyDeleteSharks with early pressure.
ReplyDeleteAvs now controlling the play...
ReplyDeleteNABOKOV!
i thought the Avs had won it..nice grab by Nabokov
ReplyDeletehow did the Sharks miss that???
ReplyDelete"HEATLEY COULDN'T BURY THE PUCK! OH MY GOODNESS!" - Mark Lee
ReplyDeleteI could not have said it better myself.
Heatley had an open net and Anderson down!
ReplyDeletegreat play by Dan Boyle to save the Sharks
ReplyDeleteDAN BOYLE STOPPED THAT PUCK FROM GOING INTO THE NET!!!!
ReplyDeleteHalfway through the 1st OT.
ReplyDeletePAVELSKI TIES THE SERIES!
ReplyDeletePavelski scores and Randy Hahn bursts my eardrums
ReplyDeletePAVELSKI!!!!!!!! SHARKS WIN!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete@49er16 can breathe now!
@kt Randy should show some more enthiuasm. LOL
ReplyDelete@Al its what I get for not watching the screen and getting caught unaware
ReplyDeleteLakers 87 Thunder 84, 4:00 left in the 4th.
ReplyDeleteI would love for the Thunder to take this game
ReplyDelete87-86 LA, Thunder ball w/ 3:02 to go.
ReplyDeleteCan OKC steal one on the road?
Please, make the NBA interesting!
this game is going to be tied after that Kobe 3 is reviewed to be a 2 pointer...
ReplyDeleteIt's tied at 86, the officials changed a Lakers 3 to a 2-pointer.
ReplyDeleteAnd btw, this is how the NCAA should handle such reviews. The review should occur at the next stoppage of play, not immediately after the shot.
ReplyDeleteThe Lakers deserve to lose. Gasol should get the ball every time down the floor, instead of the Lakers jacking up jump shots.
ReplyDelete88-86 Thunder after FTs. Kobe to the line.
ReplyDelete88-88, tied.
Basket interference, ugh.
ReplyDeleteKobe gives the Lakers the lead.
Offensive foul on Durant, soft call.
ReplyDeleteYou can play through that, come on refs!
I liked the call on Durant, but sending the Lakers to the line every time down the floor is just ridiculous.
ReplyDelete93-88, must score for OKC. Westbrook FTs, both good.
ReplyDelete93-90
oh Kevin. there's no need to oversell the rest of this series.
ReplyDelete@kt That's why I hated the Durant call, if Kobe does that they won't whistle him for the foul.
ReplyDeleteWESTBROOK THE BLOCK!!!! Thunder can tie with a 3-pointer.
ReplyDeleteI don't want OT though, I want sleep.
idiot Laker fans
ReplyDeleteDurant almost had the basket and foul. Of course TNT doesn't show a replay.
ReplyDelete1 of 2 for Kobe. 2 to tie and 3 to win for the Thunder.
Joe Bryant FTW!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAs a kid, Joe Bryant would have my dad at his place and he would shoot some hoops at his place.
Joe is the only reason I can't totally despise Kobe. Seriously. As much as I can off on the NBA, I can tell you that Joe Bryant is the man.
Go for the win, you're on the road vs. the Champions and the refs.
ReplyDeleteColor me shocked the refs found a loose ball foul on OKC there.
ReplyDeleteDurant had a good look, Gasol misses.
ReplyDeleteA three can still tie at worst.
sounds like a blog post, JFein
ReplyDeleteWell, there went any viewing of this series now.
ReplyDelete
