  1. "Giants Baseball: Torture"- Duane Kuiper & Mike Krukow

It's hard to argue with them.......

  2. "Capitals Power Play: Torture" - Me

    /Fixed

    They're 0 for 1 tonight, 0 for 15 in the series, and 0 for their last 22!

  3. Kostitsyn, high-sticking, another PP.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Cammaleri, 1-1. Bad defensive coverage, everybody was reaching instead of moving their feet.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Giants pitcher Todd Wellemeyer is having a meltdown on the mound for the Giants. He's throw five straight-four-ball walks. This is sad to watch while at the same time fascinating.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Great pace in Montreal. CSN guys raving about it.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Habs coming close, they draw a Caps penalty.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Great forechecking shift from the Knuble line at the end of the period. Caps need more of that.

    1-1 after 1.

    ReplyDelete
  9. The attendance at the Nats game tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Sweet! They are currently playing a Rise Against song at the TD Banknorth Garden.

    ReplyDelete
  11. @ Al: You should see the attendance in Atlanta.

It's embarrassing. And the Braves are very much a contender.

    ReplyDelete
  12. The Caps are practically sleepwalking through this game.

    ReplyDelete
  13. @kt They should you know...WAKE UP!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Buffalo leads Boston 2-0.

That's another series that I just can't get into.

I love these ESPN America streams I get with atdhe. Nothing like hearing Tony Kornheiser making French jokes over and over again, amirite?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Morrisonn and Spacek out with undisclosed injuries for WAS and MON, respectively.

Neither defenseman was in the lineup tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Al I think they thought Montreal would roll over after the Ovechkin goal. Now they're in a dogfight.

    ReplyDelete
  17. @JFein careful...i'm in the TK fan club.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think Canadiens fans are worse than Steeler or Red Sox fans.

High sticking on the Matt Bradley

    ReplyDelete
  19. 2 great saves by Varlamov on Camilleri

    ReplyDelete
  20. VARLAMOV!!!!!!!! MARTY BRODEUR STYLE!!!!!!

I'll have you know that he just caused Gord Miller to have a heart attack in the booth.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @ kt: I despise Habs fans with the passion of 1,000 suns. Seriously. They are without a doubt the Yankees of hockey, and they will tell you about it in a long drawn out ceremony before every game.

That being said, I want them to win this series because assuming the Flyers can win one of three against New Jersey, I now want to avoid Washington at all costs.

    ReplyDelete
  22. the penalty kill was totally because of Semyon Varlamov

    ReplyDelete
  23. @JFein I guess it's not kosher to remind them they haven't come close to winning anything since 1993?

    ReplyDelete
  24. The TSN Bottom Line is officially awesome. Just like how ESPN's used to be a few years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  25. A terrible, terrible bounce there. 2-1 Habs

    ReplyDelete
  26. @ kt: Tell that to a Habs fan, and they will rub their previous 24 right in their face.

Gord Miller just outscreamed his microphone. 2-1 Montreal.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Gionta on the rebound, 2-1 Habs.

This is not good, folks. /Duane Kuiper'd

    ReplyDelete
  28. Good Lord is Varlamov on fire. Too bad everyone else is in the deep freeze

    ReplyDelete
  29. Too many men on the ice on the Caps...unfuckinbelievable

    ReplyDelete
  30. Terrible, too many players on the ice on the power play!

    ReplyDelete
  31. It's only 2-1 because of Varly, he's the only Cap who came to play.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??????

    ReplyDelete
  32. SCORE!!!!!!!!!! MIKE KNUBLE!!!!!!! /Beninati'd

That will shut up 22,000 in a second!

    ReplyDelete
  33. "Sauce like you wouldn't believe..that was hot sauce" Craig Laughlin, not Bart Scott, on the pass to set up the goal.

    Whew

    ReplyDelete
  34. Only Beninati and Laughlin can take a tense, interesting playoff hockey game and ruin it with their unfunny antics.

    ReplyDelete
  35. The Caps already look faster at the start of the 3rd.

    ReplyDelete
  36. "You can't spell Kesler without Selke" Beninati

    ReplyDelete
  37. Boston and Buffalo are now tied at 2.

    Jake Gyllenhall FTW!

    ReplyDelete
  38. OVIE DOES IT AGAIN!! CAPS LEAD

    ReplyDelete
  39. Congrats on advancing to the conference finals, Washington!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Sigh......the 2010-2011 Philadelphia Flyers starting goaltender, ladies and gentlemen!

    ReplyDelete
  41. and now the Caps go to the power play...penalty on Lapierre

    ReplyDelete
  42. amazing how quiet the Bell Centre crowd is now..

    3:56 left to play

    word verification: (Dan)Uggla

    ReplyDelete
  43. "Everybody loves Ovie, they all want a piece of him" Laughlin

    ReplyDelete
  44. "For Jacuqes Martin, there is no 3-goal comeback happening tonight." - Pierre McGuire after the empty netter.

    ReplyDelete
  45. and Moore makes it 5-3.

makes that early 6th man decision by Montreal even more curious

    ReplyDelete
  46. Jacques Martin mailed this one in with the goalie pull much too soon.

5-3 Caps to make the score more respectible

    ReplyDelete
  47. 5-3 Caps, hang on for another minute.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I would have died if the Habs scored there.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Backstrom!

and Carey Price, what a jackass

    ReplyDelete
  50. that's a definite Flyer play by Price

    6-3 Caps win

    3-1 series lead

    ReplyDelete
  51. Empty-netter for Backstrom.

    Stay classy, Carey Price!

WE LEAD YOUR WEAK ASS 3-1 IN THE SERIES!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. and i was being sarcastic in my Flyer comments, JFein

    ReplyDelete
  53. Penalty on Bergeron! Buffalo power play!

    ReplyDelete
  54. BSH commenter on the Flyers playoff chances now that Carter and Gagne are out.

"They’re fucked. They should win one of three games against the Devils, but I’m not sure they can beat the Caps without both of those guys.

Not to mention the Caps will be nearly a month into their annual steroid cycle, which I believe would put them at peak condition."

That got me laughing out loud, especially seeing as it is from a person not exactly known on the board for his jokes.

    ReplyDelete
  55. @ kt: No, no, you're good. Chances are, it will be a Flyer play next year.

    ReplyDelete
  56. "Chara with a big stick." - Sam Rosen

    That's what she said.

    ReplyDelete
  57. This is the best 14 minutes of action so far in the playoffs.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I forgot to say this about the BSH poster...

    -10,000,000 BSH.

How come the Nats didn't get the good steroids if they both got them from the same provider?!

    ReplyDelete
  59. For the first time these playoffs, we've got double overtime!

    ReplyDelete
  60. That post was tongue-in-cheek.

Last Bruins home multi-OT win was in 1939?

    That doesn't seem right.

    Versus fact-check proofreading to commence.

    ReplyDelete
  61. "He has goalie amnesia." -Razor on Luongo

    ReplyDelete
  62. Craig "He put the biscuit in the basket" Laughlin is an asshole.

    That is all.

    BTW, CoverItLive manana?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Also, #4 will be doing the Lito Shuffle.

Minnesota signs Shepard to a 1-year, $2M pact.

    ReplyDelete
  64. @JC I wouldn't go that far, annoying yeah.

And I have to listen to him every night.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Bergeron just missed on the backhand.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Icing, Bruins hate the call.

Linesman got it right. Krejci missed the puck.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Montador over the net!

    Lucic, save Miller!

    ReplyDelete
  68. I thought Lucic had that!!!

Then I remembered it was Lucic shooting it. And I realized it would not go in. I was right.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Last Bruins double-OT game called by Sam Rosen, game 3 vs. the Caps in '98 on FOX.

Not a good outcome for the Bruins.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yes, there is a live blog tomorrow, going early so I can either celebrate a 1st round win or fret a repeat of 2000.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Miller is dazed.

Kings score on the PP, what else is new?

    ReplyDelete
  72. SATAN!!!!!!! BRUINS WIN IT!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Great pass by Ryder and middle drive by Sturm.

    BOS leads series 3-1.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Horrendous PK again. Bieksa sucks.

Also, the Versus feed is 30 seconds behind CBC's.

    ReplyDelete
  75. @SSR And they didn't broadcast the game allegedly from the beginning for the BOS and BUF markets who were blacked out of the early game.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Guy on CBC not named Mike Milbury is talking about how Roberto Luongo needs to tell his team to "ride me."

    Disturbing stuff

    ReplyDelete
  77. @JFein Kelly Hrudey?

He usually is sitting with Milbury.

    I'm assuming it wasn't Maclean.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Who does everyone want to see their team take in the draft tomorrow?

    ReplyDelete
  79. @ Al: Yep, that's the one.

I know Maclean and I obviously know Milbury, but I never knew Hrudey's name.

    ReplyDelete
  80. @JFein The Deadskins don't have any draft picks.

Okay, we have four (I think?).

We should get offensive linemen (plural) but will end up getting a QB or receiver going by past mismanagement logic.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Meanwhile, the Canucks score a power play goal of their own! Ehrhoff ties it.

    ReplyDelete
  82. No Tebow PLEASE!

(Unless your name is Al Davis. Remember Manos de Pietra, the wideout he took last year?)

    ReplyDelete
  83. @JFein your favorite announcer is doing Spurs and Mavs. ;-)

as for the Ravens, the dream pick is Jermaine Gresham, i think they'll settle for Kyle Wilson, and if both are gone, they're trading down.

    ReplyDelete
  84. BTWE, anyone see that Chan Ho Park interview?

When picking off someone at first/And your pants start to burst/Diahrrea, cha cha cha/Diahrrea, cha cha cha!

Thank you Chris Hardwick and Web Soup!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Fire Vigneault. Another PK fail.

    ReplyDelete
  86. That's okay. Count Stockula works better with Mangina in football...

And it is night time, so the Count's okay.

    ReplyDelete
  87. @ kt: Hey! If the Eagles can't trade up for Eric Berry, I want dibs on Kyle Wilson. Please no Joe Haden and if we get Tebow, I will commit seppuku.

@ JC: I think kt and Al can tell you all about Darius Hayward-Bey.

    ReplyDelete
  88. @ JC: I saw the Chan Ho Park video a week ago. I still have not stopped laughing from it. Some people are just way too honest about their digestive systems.

And what the heck is Web Soup anyway?

    ReplyDelete
  89. Big question: Will we see those inflated heads on NFL Network before sign off of Round One?

    ReplyDelete
  90. @Justin: Little spinoff of a show called "The Soup" which airs on G4.

    ReplyDelete
  91. @JFein frankly, i'm almost willing to bet everything i have the Patriots take Tebow.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Halladay beat Atlanta all by himself 2-0.

    See "Roy Halladay Facts".

    ReplyDelete
  93. That Hardwick guy used to also host a show on MTV called "Singled Out" with some gal named Jenny McCarthy...

    ReplyDelete
  94. Johnson should've been called for interference. Terible call on Hansen.

    ReplyDelete
  95. G4? Never heard of that.

I still don't know what channel I am watching for the draft: ESPN or NFL Network.

    ReplyDelete
  96. DEMOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! YOU DON'T SUCK THAT MUCH!!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Well, Modin just had his stick held by a Canuck. They're not biased refs just bad refs.

    Demitra! 2-2.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Kopitar on the delayed penalty call.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Canucks PK is down to 35.7%?????? Good grief that's beyond pathetic.

    ReplyDelete
  100. My test scores, which were routinely in the 40s, are better than the Canucks PK.

Okay, I made that up for fun. On a positive, it's better than the Caps PP.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Spurs trying to blow a double-digit lead to the Mavs, 87-79 now.

    ReplyDelete
  102. 89-84, Terry just nailed a three for Dallas.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Duncan had it knocked out of his hands but still scored, 91-84.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I really like The Daily Line commercial calling out the difference in how Tiger is basically viewed as a villain and Bill Clinton is now a U.S. ambassador. They bothh cheated on their wives. Can I get some objective journalism?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Duncan hits back-to-back shots, 95-84 Spurs. Brendan Haywood showing the country how great a defender Wiz fans knew he was.../Extreme sarcasm'd

    ReplyDelete
  106. Phil Hughes has a no-hitter through 7. Bleh.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Daniel Sedin literally takes a trip to the box.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Reaugh: "At this time of year, you're either the hammer or the anvil."

    Way TMI!

    ReplyDelete
  109. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  110. It hit Hughes right in the heel of the glove and it fell behind him.

    ReplyDelete
  111. LUONGO!!!!! That's basically the game and maybe the series as far as momemtum.

    ReplyDelete
  112. @Al that Tiger-Clinton comparison is so wrong in so many ways.

    ReplyDelete
  113. SAMUELSSON TIPS IT IN!!! TIE GAME!

Just when I was thinking about going to bed. This is going 3OTs because of me.

    ReplyDelete
  114. 2-15

i'm thinking of becoming a Natinals fan, if only because it would be incredibly cheezy to all of the sudden showing up here as a huge Phillies fan.

    /only slightly sarcasm'd

    ReplyDelete
  115. i added a loss...they're only 2-14. they're all running together at this point

    ReplyDelete
  116. @kt I'm just repeating what the commercial said and Salo give the Canucks the lead.

    LOS ANGELES, HELLO???/Larry King'd

    ReplyDelete
  117. WAYNE SYMMONDS TIES IT! SMART SHOT WIDE OFF THE BOARDS BY JOHNSON!!

    ReplyDelete
  118. @kt I forgot about the O's game tonight, apparently they did too.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Cauncks got away with a hook at the defensive end and Henrik cashes in at the offensive end.

    5-4 Canucks.

    ReplyDelete
  120. HENRIK SEDIN!!!!! 5-4 VANCOUVER!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  121. I don't like how nobody said how and why the net came off.

    ReplyDelete
  122. "It looks like he's getting beat up by a gang." - Jim Hughson

    ReplyDelete
  123. Henrik Sedin, great play falling on the puck.

    Empty net with 44.3 left

    ReplyDelete
  124. KESLER BANGS IT HOME TO CLINCH IT!!!!

    6-4 VANCOUVER!

    ReplyDelete
  125. Kesler with the empty net goal. Cue Doc Emrick screaming, wait this isn't the Olympics.

    6-4 Canucks win, series tied.

    ReplyDelete
  126. no 3 OT's tonight

good fighting at the end, sets up for an exciting best of 3 to finish it off.
