Your Week 13 NFL Schedule (UPDATED)

Editor's note: After hours of searching and inquiring, it does appear that no longer are Barry Tompkins and Eddie George doing a game thanks to the fact that a game that Fox had was flexed to SNF (Minny-Arizona). I had assumed that Brennaman and Billick were on the BCS Selection Show but after reading the press release on the show, no where were they mentioned, therefore, they must have been originally planned to do said Vikes-Cards game. While the initial release did not reflect these changes, they have now been made and as you'll see below, Pitts and Lynch have been moved from Lions-Bengals to Bucs-Panthers and Brennaman and Billick have since been added to Lions-Bengals.

It's Week 13 and you know what that means. If you were not sick of the playoff picture graphics and scenarios now, then you most certainly will be after this week as this is the time you will really see them continue to pop up. Transitioning to announcers, after only getting them once in the 1st 11 weeks, the Eagles once again will be paid by Kenny, Moose, and Goose. Are you ready? Here we go! (all times eastern; games I get are in bold)

Thursday Night Football
New York Jets @ Buffalo Toronto Bills 8:20 (NFL-Network - Bob Papa and Matt Millen)

New Orleans Saints @ Washington Redskins 1:00 (Fox - Sam Rosen and Tim Ryan)
St. Louis Rams @ Chicago Bears 1:00 (Fox - Dick Stockton and Trent Green)
Detroit Lions @ Cincinnati Bengals 1:00 (Fox - Thom Brennaman and Brian Billick)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers 1:00 (Fox - Ron Pitts and John Lynch)

Map of who gets what Fox late game

Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants 4:15 (Fox - Joe Buck and Troy Aikman)

San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks 4:15 (Fox - Chris Myers and Ross Tucker)

Sunday Night Football
Minnesota Vikings @ Arizona Cardinals 8:20 (NBC - Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth)

Monday Night Football
Baltimore Ravens @ Green Bay Packers 8:30 (ESPN - Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski, and Jon Gruden)

Ross Tucker of SI is doing an NFL game with Chris Myers. Those of you that watch RedZone or actually that game and then actually do the unthinkable and watch it will have to tell me how he is with Myers. And by that, I mean the stories of hilarious awfulness.

  1. That is going to be very impressive for Rich Gannon...

and this is the one week i wish Baltimore Fox would take the Redskins instead of the godawful Lions/Bengals matchup.

  2. @ kt: Face it, the guy is Kirk Herbstreit on steroids......

Why on earth would they give you that game? That makes no sense. Regardless, I would not be surprised if they switched you to the Deadskins or even the Eagles-Falcons game.

  3. AFC North, JFein

though it's not like the Ravens and Bengals are tied for the division lead and the game really matters.

Baltimore rarely gets the Eagles unless it's the main DH game, or they're playing the Deadskins

  4. You gotta point there. The reason I did not really think about that is because most games with an NFC East team are one of the main games so I get it just by default.

On the plus side, your CBS game is Pittsburgh-Oakland. That should be a good game. Oh, wait, never mind. The immaculate reception game was in the '70s.

  5. Hey, my only CBS game is Chargers/Browns! I would like to find out the local ratings for D.C. between that game and DAL/NYG.

Obviously, CBS can't send D.C. a game, unless the Ravens are on the road, at the same time of a Deadskins home game.

  6. Change in TB-CAR.

Scratch Barry Tompkins and Eddie George and replace with Thom "Tim Tebow's Love Daddy" Brennaman-Brian Billick

  7. I hope that's true, JC. The only combo worse than Tompkins-George would be Tompkins-Petros Papadakis.

  8. Before anyone takes JC's word on this, I have searched the internets for the past several minutes looking at all of the reliable sites on this information, including the506 posters and all of the recent press releases at Fang's Bites and absolutely nothing hints or states that such a change has been made.

Until there is proof to the contrary, I and everyone else should make the assumption that there is no change and Tompkins/George is still a go for this week, much to the detriment of football fans everywhere.

  9. Okay. I have just seen where JC probably saw this, but even then his correction is partly wrong.

According to JP's 506 maps (which have had typos and mistakes before this year), it's Pitts and Lynch on TB-Car and Brennaman and Billick on Detroit-Cincinnati.

  10. It never made any sense to me to have 2 guys who broadcast NFL games to have any role in analyzing the BCS matchups. I love Billick, but what could he possibly have added to any Boise State discussion?

  11. Not that it's right or anything, but Brennaman and Billick are calling the Sugar Bowl. I have no idea what kind of insight, if any, Billick has on the matter, but if you want an explanation as to why he would be on the show, it would be that. And didn't they have Thom on location at a school in years past?

That's where my head initially was when I saw them absent and Tompkins and George calling the games instead.

  12. Preparing for 1 game is much different than watching games on Saturdays and having an overall view of college football. I'm guessing Billick's had much more to do on a Saturday than sit around eating Cheetos and watching college games.

I've never seen a BCS selection show, so I have no idea what Thom was doing. Or even how you would format such a show.

  13. @ kt: You've never seen one of these BCS Selections show? It's sort of like the March Madness NCAA Selections Show on CBS, only with college football and Fox and Chris Rose and Charles Davis (and his Mangina). They announce the BCS bowls, Mangina gives his initial impression, Thom Brennaman (in years past) was live at a college with a team not sure of it's BCS fate in order to interview them before and after and what not.

You should watch this year. It's good times.

  14. No, JFein, I have never seen a BCS selection show

I think I'll stick to basketball Sunday night ;-)

  15. For the time that the BCS Selection Show is on I'll be switching back and forth between the big game and the BCS Show. I have an odd need to be pissed off whenever that is on.

  16. Why would anyone watch a show Chris Rose is hosting?

We know most of the teams already in.

    Big Ten- Ohio State
    Pac 10- ORE/ORE ST winner
    Big East- Cincy/Pitt winner
    SEC- Florida/Alabama winner
    Big 12- Texas/Nebraska winner
    ACC- GT/CLEM winner

Add 2 at-large teams for the other reps, the SEC Champ. winner plays probably Texas, TCU or Cincinnati.
