Happy Independence Day!

"The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more." - John Adams in a letter to his wife Abigail on July 3, 1776.

The day where America legally declared themselves an independent entity was July 2, 1776 with the Resolution of Independence. However, July 4 was the day that the Declaration of Independence was approved by Congress, which in case you have not read it and awhile and forget, is just a statement saying "F.U. King George III Penguin" and the reasons for independence.

Have a great one, guys, and for those that don't get the King Penguin joke, may I suggest watching on YouTube the episode of Blackadder The Third entitled Duel And Duality.
