The Sixers Draft UCLA's Jrue Holiday

Thank goodness!!!!!! Thank goodness the Sixers did not draft Ty Lawson!!! That would have been my worst nightmare come true. This, however, is a good selection.

The Sixers desparately need a point guard (and judging by the way that I drafted, Minnesota will play nothing but point guards this year, but that's another story) and Holliday will fit their needs. He is a Top 10 talent that fell to 17; the last person in the green room. The draft, as Mel Kiper often puts for the NFL Draft, is about addressing your teams needs and getting the most bang for your buck out of your pick. And with Holliday, the Sixers have accomplished all of that and then some.

He may have gotten PWN3D by Villanova in the NCAA Tournament (Wildcats are going all the way next year!!!!!), but I like him as an NBA point guard and I think he will fit the Sixers just fine.

Then again, all of this blather may just be because I am doing handstands that the Sixers did not pick Ty Lawson....
