2009-2010 Flyers Schedule: October

Hockey season is back! Last year had quite the exciting finish to it, and my hopes are high this year, more in particular for the Flyers, who are being picked by some to win the Cup. I think they have what it takes, but we'll see if they can pull it all together as a unit and can play with consistency throughout the year, something that they have struggled with during John Stevens' tenure. Here's your Flyers schedule for October, beginning with their season debut, on the road against the Hurricans on October 2 (all times eastern)

October 2: @ Carolina W 2-0
October 3: @ New Jersey W 5-2
October 6: vs. Washington W 5-6 F/OT
October 8: vs. Pittsburgh L 5-4
October 10: vs. Anaheim L 3-2 F/SO
October 16: @ Florida L 2-4
October 22: vs. Boston W 3-4 F/SO
October 24: vs. Florida W 1-5
October 25: vs. San Jose L 4-1
October 27: @ Washington L 4-2
October 31: vs. Carolina W 1-6

Sadly, the 1st game of the year is on The Comcast Network, a channel that I don't get (Comcast Network is a different channel than CSN Philly; it's more of a news network) so I will be missing 2 of the first 3 games as the first Washington game is on Versus, another channel that I don't get (although the stream will probably be much easier to find).

  1. UPDATE: Saturday's game moved from CNP to CSN after the move of the Phillies-Marlins game to Fox.

  2. Gotcha. I typed this up a few days ago and when the change was announced, I never changed my post.
