"This game people said wouldn't be played, would get rained out; well we're witnessing a gem." Buck

  4. @ kt: I swear, some crazy shit goes on at this university during homecoming weekend.

Last year, there was an incident that ended up with police over-macing people at the homecoming dance, and this year apparently a girl that lives next door to me (I hardly know her) is either missing or seriously injured. They are looking for her, but I thought I heard one girl say she was injured or something, I don't know.

  5. leadoff single for Melky Cabrera

  6. @JFein oh wow i hope she's okay...and yes weird shit does happen around homecoming

Double Play! no...they called Cabrera safe at 2nd! and an argument erupts...a terrible total homer Yankee call there

  7. @JFein 11:42 sophomore year homecoming, a kid fell out of the 6th floor window at UMD(we had high rises for the 1st 2 years). He was drunk and was sitting on a ledge and just tumbled out. So, yes, I hope this girl is all right(and is not the girl I insulted earlier...)

  8. Damon fouls out and here comes the Tex-raitor...

  9. @ kt: I almost forgot. Some student was walking around town at 2:49 AM and got stabbed.

It's not like this is an unsafe school or neighborhood or anything, it's just that crazy shit happens here at homecoming weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  10. @ kt: Nope. That girl was across the hall diagonally from me. This one lives next door (yet, I hardly know her and can't even come up with her face in my mind).

  11. we go to the 11th.

Joe Buck keeps talking about how exciting this game is, but he sounds like he's reading it off a script Bud Selig handed him and is making him read at gunpoint.

    ReplyDelete
  12. @JFein why didn't you go to the homecoming dance?

and i did delete that comment, in case you know that girl or something

  13. Mathews walks and Aybar is coming up.

  14. Son of Sarge moves to 2nd on the sacrifice

    ReplyDelete
  15. hit for Figgins! Son of Sarge scores! Angels lead 3-2

    ReplyDelete
  16. @JFein Baltimore Fox has switched and will show Giants/Saints tomorrow instead of the Eagles

  17. Hunter grounds into a 5-4-3 double play.

    Fuentes is coming in.

    ReplyDelete
  18. The weakest part of the Yankees offense is coming up in this inning. Let's see if Fuentes can hold onto the lead.

    ReplyDelete
  19. @ kt: I hardly know her. And by hardly know her, I can't put a face to it and I just saw the non-friended version of her Facebook page and the face hardly rung a bell.

Apparently she sent out a mass text message and posted on Facebook suggesting suicide or something.....and now there is a large commotion in the hallway and I have no idea what's going on.

    This is odd...

    ReplyDelete
  20. AROD has tied the game

    Jeffery Maier was not involved...

    ReplyDelete
  21. I knew Fuentes couldn't hold onto the lead.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @JFein oh wow. i really hope everything's all right up there.

    ReplyDelete
  23. @JFein, I had to actually move away from my school. It was in a bad part of the neighborhood. Thankfully at the time I lived with two other people, but our house was broken into twice and had my TV stolen.

I moved out of that place and away from the school after my Sophmore year.

  24. to the 12th inning...

and the weather is getting worse, which is why i'm watching the end of this at home sipping hot cocoa...

    ReplyDelete
  25. @ kt: Yum. I want some.

Thanks. I think it is, but I still hear police in the building making radio transmissions, so I'm not sure.

    ReplyDelete
  26. @ Keith: Oof. Yeah, I would want to get out of there ASAP as well.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I have not been watching much of this game (and when I did start watching, the whole commotion started and I was distracted by that), but how much has Joe Buck complained about the weather like he did in Game 5 Part 1 of the 2008 World Series?

    ReplyDelete
  28. @JFein hardly at all, except for talking about how much he doesn't want such a great game to be decided by the weather. I think it's because the Yankees are involved. They make everything all right.

There are cops on your floor???

    ReplyDelete
  29. Sarge Jr. has been stealing money from the Angels.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Son of Sarge strikes out w/ 2 on

Angels have left 14 on base. I have seen that before...

    /97 ALCS'd

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think that one might have bene fisted....

    ReplyDelete
  32. @ kt: The police were called here for the disappearance. They don't actually live here 24/7.

    ReplyDelete
  33. what a cheap single for Posada...

    ReplyDelete
  34. @JFein i figured they weren't living with you...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Aybar drops the liner, but gets Posada on the force-out.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Damon singles to right...1st & 3rd 2 out the Texraitor coming up

    ReplyDelete
  37. This is going to seem completely random and out of nowhere, but you know how I had the "Gustavo Johnson" post earlier, well watching this baseball game reminded me that the Spanish announcers for the 08 World Series (they are on my A&E DVD along with Phils radio, Rays radio, and the Fox broadcast) and they were completely monotonous (I wanted to see what some of the big plays sounded like in Spanish). Literally, their voices never changed on any big play.

"He popped one." - Joe Buck

    ReplyDelete
  38. and the bases are loaded for Mr. Kate Hudson

    ReplyDelete
  39. popped up...to the 13th inning..incredibly exciting game going on..

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yankees leave the bases loaded. To the 13th inning we go.

"The Yankees have stranded 10. The Angels have stranded 14. We're going to play at least 13." - Joe Buck

    ReplyDelete
  41. Error on Cano... leadoff man on for LA

    ReplyDelete
  42. Who do you guys think is a better PbP guy? Chip Caray or Joe Buck?

My answer: Joe Buck, not even close.

    ReplyDelete
  43. i'm going to go with Jon Miller ;-)

otherwise, I guess Buck...bored professionalism over excited nonsense

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hunter is out 6-3...2 on 2 out for Vladdie

    ReplyDelete
  45. "he sees the lanes on the field like Larry Bird sees the lanes on the basketball court" McCarver

i'm guessing he hasn't seen an NBA game since the 80's...

    ReplyDelete
  46. Vlad grounds out..."Game 2 will not die" Buck

    ReplyDelete
  47. this is my repost from KSJ earlier:

Tim McCarver must be the dumbest fucking individual alive. I thought everyone knew that a pitched ball, once released, does not travel at a constant speed, but instead slows down the further the ball is from the release point. But ol' Tim McCarver is shocked to find the ball is a different speed when it hits the target. I mean didn't he take any fucking physics classes back in the day?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Jerry Hairston Jr. up...can you believe the Orioles were once UNDECIDED between this scrub and Brian Roberts???

    ReplyDelete
  49. Nice sac bunt. Hairston moves safely to 2nd and a basehit will end this thing for the Yankees. Cano at the plate.

    They're walking him.

    ReplyDelete
  50. and the IW of Cano..as Santana almost threw ball 1 away...Melky Cabrera is coming up.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Izturis throws it away and the MFY win again....

    ReplyDelete
  52. take the damn out at first...they weren't going to get 2 anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  53. good night JFein..hope things have calmed own up there.

    ReplyDelete
  54. @ kt: Thanks I think they have. Good night and I'll chat with you tomorrow!
