The Eagles Want To Make Me A Very Happy Fan
<3
The Eagles will be wearing these jerseys the 50th anniversary of their 1960 NFL Championship when they play the Green Bay Packers, who coincidentally, they beat to win that championship. Yes, after the years of begging, hoping, pleading, and throwing up at the sight of throwback jerseys that made the Eagles look like Team Sweden, the kelly green is finally coming back!
The Flyers are bringing back their 1970s (and Winter Classic) uniforms as permanent jerseys. The Phillies are bringing back the powder blue for a game on at Milwaukee on May 14. The Eagles are spending a game in kelly green next year. I think I'm in love.
Update: Here is a photo of Brent Celek, Stewart Bradley, and DeSean Jackson sporting the kelly green.

Buck Shaw was the Eagles coach when they won that Championship and he happens to be the first Niners coach in history and a historical figure in the Bay Area.
ReplyDeleteYou forgot that the Phillies wore their 1965 roadies when they played at Houston last month.
ReplyDelete@ JC: The game was on TCN and thus I could not see it. And if I remember correctly, those were fairly lame.
ReplyDeleteI like the original Flyers uniforms, Eagles kelly green, and Phillies powder blue.
