Regardless of who wins tonight, the tag line for this year's Stanley Cup Playoffs will come true. If the Flyers win, they join The Club. If the Bruins win, then they will be in prime position to win the Stanley Cup. The last team to take a 3-0 series lead, lost the next 3, then won the series in Game 7, went on to win the Stanley Cup. And in a complete coincidence, that Stanley Cup winning team was the Flyers in 1975. So here we go. The most unlikely, improbable, and possibly historic Game 7 in the history of Philadelphia sports. It's win and host the Habs or go home. It's history in the making.
Game 7: Philadelphia @ Boston 7:00 (Versus - Joe Beninati and Billy Jaffe, SR: Bob Harwood) (TSN - Gord Miller, ItG: Pierre McGuire, SR: Ryan Rishaug)
I have just read that Joe Beninati has a pink tie/pink shirt combo on.

ReplyDeleteI'm on the fence as to whether he likes the Caps or Flyers more.
For the record, as far as the pending arena name change, my argument that the building be renamed Wells Fargo Spectrum should stand as there are eight skyscrapers and an arts facility using Wells Fargo Center as their name.
