  2. Washington scored so fast, I didn't even see who scored.

  3. Backstrom scored for the Caps not even a minute in!

  4. Didn't take the Pens long to tie the game.

  5. The Pens take the lead off a Bill Guerin goal.

  6. "Maybe the youngster is human!" - Bob Cole on Varlamov after that last goal

  7. Whoa! I leave to eat dinner and spend some time with my family and all of a sudden it's 3-1 Pittsburgh!

  8. And as has not been the case for the past few nights, I will be here for the rest of the night, tonight!

Of course, you all have most likely left by now.....

  9. I am going to eat dinner myself. I will be back....

  10. WASHINGTON HAS PULLED WITHIN 1!!! MIKE GREEN KNOCKED ONE OFF THE POST AND IN!

3-2 Pens with 4:52 to go in the 2nd.

  11. Cole just said the puck went off the crossbar instead of the post.

    I know you're 76, but come on.

  12. Crosby scores and it's 4-2 Pens with 15:37 to go in the game!

  15. Jurcina scores a wild goal and it's now 4-3!!! Capitals just won't go away in this one!

And I guess you never know. Satan may have had something to do with that puck going in the net. It was a Pittsburgh goal, after all...;-)

  16. Yeah so that's a typo on my part.

And Cole took about 20 seconds to realize to identify the scorer.

  17. If Pittsburgh wins, so does TSN.

CBC traded with TSN the rights to Ducks/Red Wings game 1 for Capitals/Penguins game 6, so TSN would be assured a potential close-out game.

Of course if it does go to game 7 they could say they aired 1 game of a great series. ;-)

  18. As shocking as this is to say, Doc Emrick and Daryl Reaugh are by a mile the best team to cover the NHL Playoffs on Versus and could possibly rival the top teams in other sports.

  19. Yeah, I knew about the CBC-TSN switch. I've already noted it on my conference semifinal post. ;-)

I guess they would send Gord Miller and Pierre McGuire to cover the game or just air a U.S. local broadcast (and in turn, literally torture Canada with Joe Beninati, who is the Caps PbP guy).

Puck The Media described him perfectly. He does not talk about the game, but rather he talks over the game. Ever since I read that I noticed it so much with him that it is ridiculous.

  20. TALBOT SCORES!!!! AND WITH 5:14 TO GO, THE PENGUINS MAY HAVE JUST SEALED GAME 4!!! THEY'RE IT'S 5-3!

  21. @JFein, this is completely random.

Today on the CSN Bay Area show Chronicle Live(Think Sports Reporters/Interview type of show) Jimmy Rollins' mom appeared on the show to talk about Mother's Day.

BTW, Pens score 5-3. Please I want to see 7 games.

  22. The people at TSN must be jumping with joy right about now...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Kunitz misses on the empty netter but it does not matter!!! THE SERIES IS TIED 2-2!! FINAL SCORE 5-3 PITTSBURGH!

IN THE WORDS OF MARV ALBERT, YES!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Pens win 5-3 and that series is tied at 2.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Over to a TSN simulcast of Bruins-Hurricanes. If the Bruins than all 4 conference semifinal series will be 2-2.

/That line just guaranteed a Carolina win.

    ReplyDelete
  27. SCORE!!! JUSSI JOKINEN!! 2-1 CAROLINA!

WHAT DID I JUST TELL YOU?!?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Power play for the Hurricanes up by 1 with 13:52 to go in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  29. "Stall will go streaking in front of the goal." - Gord Miller

I don't think Tim Thomas really wants to see that...

    ReplyDelete
  30. SAMSONOV SCORES AND IT'S 3-1 CANES!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. SAMSONOV SCORES!!! THIS SERIES IS CAROLINA'S TO LOSE NOW!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anyone notice how you can barely hear the TSN commentators and they have the crowd drown them out a la the NBA on NBC?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Carolina scores again. GAME OVER, SERIES OVER!

I will see you guys tomorrow.

/Time to go to a bar.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yes, I have noticed that. Then again, Gord Miller is pretty much like Gus Johnson on steroids...

STALL SCORES!!!! 4-1 CAROLINA!!!! THEY'LL LEAD THE SERIES 3-1 HEADING BACK TO BOSTON!!!

Oh my.....I just received this bit of breaking news. Jack Edwards has just been diagnosed with a severe case of depression and he may be dangerous. STAY AWAY FROM JACK EDWARDS AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!
