  8. I just realized I forgot to put down the announcers for Versus, but as they have been doing since Game 3, it's Doc and Reaugh with Chris Simpson (sister of CBC's Craig Simpson) "sideline reporting".

  9. The Caps would do well to get a goal before the end of the period just to have get some confidence back.

  10. WOW!! VARLAMOV WITH A GLORIOUS SAVE!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. What a stop by VarLAMov!!!!! If it was not for him, this game would be 3 or 4 to nothing at this point instead of 2-0.

  12. i'll be happy if they get a couple of shots before the intermission

  20. Varlamov has been pulled.

Bob Cole just came up with "And a goal for Pittsburgh". I'm not even sure he knew they scored until they started celebrating but it may be a case of pure shock. I can't believe this.

  22. Just unbelieveable. And I think the pic that I took that is now at the bottom of this open thread sums pu the game perfectly.

  23. Hey JFein, how did you get that picture so fast?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think it's a picture taken from a camera and then quickly uploaded. I usually take screencaps on the computer with my movie player.

  25. Eric Staal has made it FIVE!!!

  26. Holy Hell. It's now 5-0. This is unreal. Look at the bright side though, kt1000, at least there won't be any controversy this time over a tripping call. ;-)

  27. My laptop has a webcam so I just paused my DVR and moved my laptop up to the screen and took the pic.

I don't know how to use movie maker. It must have took me less than 3 minutes from the time I hit pause on the DVR to the time I got it published. Wait....you're saying it's a bad pic? ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thanks JFein, and no it's not a bad pic. Good quality :-)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Actually I have a different movie maker app and it plays Youtube videos, so I just wait until the highlights are up and click on the screenshot feature.

  30. Ovechkin just scored the easiest goal of his life.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Ovechkin just got a goal back for the Caps. But with 1:51 remaining in the 2nd and it being a 5-1 game, the Caps still do not have much of a prayer in this game.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Bob Cole practically said nothing for Washington's goal.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I do know how to take screenshots from YouTube videos and such. It's just that this game has gotten boring and I did not feel like waiting. ;-)

  35. You know, that money that you can be saving with Geico, do we ever actually see it? What if it's just a pile of $1 bills?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Completely unrelated to hockey and anything sports, but I'm pretty sure that I just saw one of the most graphic videos I have ever seen in my life...

/Figures it would be a PETA vid.

  37. CROSBY ON A BREAKAWAY!!! SCORE!!! 6-1!! NOW IT'S OVER!

    ReplyDelete
  38. This was on a 4 minute power play so they still have 1:40 left to go.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Crosby scores on a breakaway and it's 6-1 Pens. Just wow.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Clark with one of the misses of the postseason. Sums up Washington's day.

  41. CBC will be airing game 7 of Anaheim/Detroit tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  42. What announcers will it be? Hughson and Simpson?

And it's official. The Pens win an anti-climatic Game 7 by a score of 6-2. Wow. Just wow.

  43. Question: What's the difference between the Sharks and a teabag?

Answer: The teabag stays longer in the cup!
